General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Just finished Life Is Strange, gotta say, the plot twist caught me by surprise. In general the game surprised me with excellent writing and some good surprises and har choices. Definitely liked it.
@TDG: Crysis is good. It certainly doesn't interrupt you too often, and the gameplay is very fluid and feels good. I'm currently playing Crysis 2, which does interrupt you more often, at least in the beginning. Crysis 2 does run a lot better (the graphics are detailed as ever, but the surroundings are less demanding, I guess) and the slightly streamlined controls make the gameplay even more fluid (the contextual use of power jumps and supersprints and the somewhat quicker access to the only remaining dedicated armour modes, maximum armour and cloak really make navigating the levels and combat feel extremely intuitive). The game gives you much more help and handholding, though. The levels are way more streamlined and linear, the visor gives you lots of tactical options, the armour allows for much longer cloak mode and you are generally a bit more durable. That doesn't mean much, though, especially not on higher difficulties. There are still about 20 billion enemies around, and they're smart. You'll get fucked in no time if you think you can pull a Doomguy and just waltz through the levels thinking that your armour of awesome will help you.
Game's good, though. Level design could have been more open, but all in all it's very satisfying.

Apart from replaying New Vegas to write this journal-style fanfic, I've finally gotten around to playing Assassin's Creed IV and it's surprisingly good. Once I unlocked the Jackdaw, the game really opened up. Naval warfare is amazing.

Oh, and the regular gameplay is good too, I guess.

Thinking about buying Alan Wake now that they are just scrapping to sell as many copies as possible before they legally can't. Is it any good?

Hollywood: Westerners don't like non-western centric things.

April: Top 2 selling games the whole Month Mario Kart 8 and Persona 5, Japanese games :smugoticon:

I have just bought Starcrawlers though I have not played it yet.
It is one of those dungeon roamer rpgs such as Eye of the Beholder or the more recent Legend of Grimrock but with a science fiction twist.
Perhaps not a title that will put anything new on the map, but if it does well what it sets out to do I am not complaining.

Games don't always have to be innovative, have various gimmicks, or be something else that is relevant of this time. They just need to be good and entertaining first and foremost.

Can Nintendo make it anymore of a pain in the dick to link a new 3DS to the Nintendo Id account you laready had? Already delinked the old system and formated it, stupid shit is still telling me the Account is already linked to a 3DS and because Nintendo is so fucking unique and original they don't even have a web based plataform to manage your Nintendo ID account, I need to do it on a nintendo system.

I've been in a point and click adventure mood as of late, currently working on the Black Mirror trilogy. Finished the first game and despite its glaring plot holes, I enjoyed it.

Speaking of point and click, I've just finished Stasis.

Overall, I liked it. The art is beautiful, and the overall atmosphere is amazing. Mark Morgan did the music, so that's fantastic too.
As for gameplay, it's overall okay. Majority of the puzzles are quite logical so I didn't have much trouble.
The story is the most ambiguous part. Depending on your interpretation it can be either great or mediocre. Definitely not bad.
My biggest problems was with some dialogue/characters, too cliched/forced etc.

Playing Divinity: Original Sin 2 beta. It's really, really good. It has a lot of those little touches that I've kept hoping RPG's would take advantage of once again.... but all the time I keep wishing it was a scifi game because the fantasy setting bores me to fucking tears and I hate that disjointed feeling where a thing is both awesome and boring at the same time...

Also now i got an urge to play the longest journey/Dreamfall games.

You might like Gods Will be Watching then, a bit opposite to that you described:

I have it already on my Steam, so I will give it a try at some point.

As with Arnaust's recommendation, this was on is on my list of games I should play, but not right now. I need a break from Stasis first.

Playing StarCrawlers.

I already played it early access for a while and so I knew how it worked. Seems like more of the same, which is fine. I just wish the class specific crafting stuff wasn't such a pain in the ass. It's really just a roll of the dice to see if you get your drop or not.

Was thinking about buying Stellaris, but Paradox dlc scheme turned me away. What they have done to Europe Universalis is just as bad as what happened to The Sims.

I can not support with a clear heart a company that releases a bunch dlcs that add very little to the game.

Anyone knows a good game like Stellaris without bullshit prices?

Still with CS:GO, gaining in rank and unlocking achievements. Not planning to unlock them all, just mostly having fun. New mouse and mouse pad helps quite a bit to improve.

Am wondering though, I can set the sensitivity etc. on the new mouse, can also customize other stuff but sensitivity is most important I guess. I guess it's possible to have two sensitivities on the mouse on 'quick access' and then switch between those on the fly. Haven't yet mastered it.

Seems there are some cheaters too on CS:GO too on some private servers although for some reason I thought there wouldn't be.

Just finished the longest journey. Second time i play the game and even with the fast forward activated it took me around 8 hours with me remebering 90% of the puzzles. Damn that game is long!

Going to start Dreamfall tomorrow i think but the controlls in that game is so hard to adjust to.

My Nephew got bored of Overwatch in favor of League of Legends and basically gifted me his account. I haven't played Overwatch but I did play Team Fortress 2, anyone here plays Overwatch who might tolerate a noob?
