General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Was going to 100% Fallout 4 so i never had to go back to the game again but i got to around 95% done and kinda quit since it was so boring in the end.
Started up Rise of the tomb raider instead trying to do the same and suprisingly enough the extra game modes are kinda fun now that the main campaing and the story dlc's are done.

Thinking of picking up the newest tomb raider but i guess i should wait for dlc's and a price drop so now i have no idea what to play once i am done in a day or 3.
Yeah I tried to 100% it too but I think achievement wise I got to 71% of them and couldn't bear it any more lol.
Did you mean see all the major content or get all the achievements?

Hell I couldn't even finish Fallout 4. never even made it to the institute. was just so damn bored.

All achievements AND entering every location more or less. I may have missed a building or 5 but it is close enough.

F4 actually have some good stuff but overall it is such a boring game it is hard to make it to the end.

I was about to attack the institute the last time i played and i am almost at the same spot now and half a dlc left.

I kept trying to play it through since I liked Fallout so much but after about 90 hours I gave in and stopped. It's too in between a shooter and RPG lite to be good enough. It was like playing a STALKER mod inspired by Bethesda games lol.

I really did like the far harbor dlc and quite a few of the companions and the way you used the power armor but besides that there was nothing great in the game. Or actually the glowing sea was awesome the first time i went there but that was just pure luck. Evening/night "?" with a rad storm comming in making everything 10x as cool looking compared to the standard.

Ohh well, Might see if i can be arsed to finish it then i guess i'm done with Fallout untill i decide to either play tactics again or Fallout 1 with the mod that gave you abilities from F2. Or was that a port from F1 to F2? Hmm.

I enjoyed some of the gameplay mechanics, Power Armor felt amazing even if you did get an entire set within an hour of starting the game. but the stripping of all RPG mechanics and the lack of any interesting story bits just dissipated any urge to finish the game.

Giving Stellaris a shot, and just experienced one of my biggest strategy game pet peeves - the "your [insert achievement] disappeared. Ok."
Happened in Civ 4 a lot with the retarded "bermuda triangle" random event, in which all units in a particular ocean spot will disappear for no reason other than "bermuda triangle". I've lost complete stacks of entire navies, carriers, missiles, planes and all, poof, just "It disappeared. Ok."

Just now, in Stellaris, colonized a planet. Next thing I know, the planet is gone. "Ok."
NO, NOT OKAY!!! Wtf!!! That's not "strategy"! >:'I
Wtf...

Well, another thing to the list of the ultimate hate-game I hope will one day be made, just "You disappeared. Game over. Ok."

They should do that shit outside strategy games, like, in the middle of a shooter, get a popup "Turns out you had leukemia this entire time. You died. Ok."

I can only think of events causing that if at all. Shit's pretty obvious when it does happen, though, or it just causes an event that may or may not remove the colony. Or perhaps you tried to colonize a Holy World and another empire asked you to forfeit the colony and you accepted unwittingly? I did that once.

I didn't even notice, and it was pretty early game, which is when I am still eagerly micromanaging things and checking every piece of info, closely monitoring the "anomaly" research programs and all that. I had 3 planets in all, so I kept a close eye on what was happening. The next moment I'm kind of blinking confusedly, being absolutely sure I had 3 planets inhabited and not 2...

Sure, it probably was some event that struck. Maybe the meteor one, or maybe one I have yet to encounter before... the rationale doesn't interest me though, it's like with the disappearing navies in Civ IV. You painstakingly put together a navy, you load missiles onto cruisers and jets onto fighters, then get a popup box saying "it's gone now, cus of bermuda" you don't go "AH! Bermuda. HUH. Shoulda known.", you just go *twitch*, turn the game off, and wonder how long since it was you read a book

"Dear followers of our Great Empire, I think I've lost one of three the inhabitable planets our species has set foot on and had a future in, whoopsies"

I’ve started a Divinity Originsl Sin 2: DE playthrough with some dude and when we can’t get together for it i’m playing Darkwood and Bastion. With the little daily commute of Warframe, of course.

I started playing Divinity Original Sin 1 with a friend but never finished it. Im sure its an excellent game but its pretty laggy on my computer and my friend kept skipping dialogue, so I really wasnt invested in it much. I might try it out again someday when I have a better pc though.

I am still debating wether to buy Valkyria Chronicles 4 or not. I have the money, I don't have the time, I haven't even finished Dragon Quest XI.... But It's Valkyria Chronicles 4!

I started this one before the DE version with a friend. It seems okay. The best thing about the game is that if you can think of a way to solve a problem you might actually be able to. At least in the first act. First act was fairly okay in my opinion, the second act just seemed like we're just doing regular quests with the occasional dialogue option to help out.

I need to beat the MSX Metal Gear games badly, but I need to hear David Hayter's lovely voice to get a Solid Snake. Maybe after I beat MGS2 again.

I beat Dragon Quest XI main story and tried Valkyria Chronicles 4 for a bit.

Played the first 5 hours. Seems like the same game as the first which is GOOD, altho I am already seeing new elements like the Granadiers. The english Dub is better than on the first game, altho it has gained a propensity towards liberal use of swearing which is a bit bizarre compared to the first game. Still, kind of don't care because the plot on these games is kinda standard animu bullshit and I am here for the Strategy gameplay.

One of the DLCs for VC4 has the squad meeting up with the squad from the first game. They are uncontrollable sadly and I heard hey have different voice actors now.

The Post game in Dragon Quest XI is actually pretty good.
Going back in time seemed like a bad idea at first, Hell I wasn't sold on it at all during the first hour where it seemed like I would be forced to grind the party all over again because they were back to level 35 (lower level than they were when I got to Yggdrasil the first time) and all the cool combos and abilities I had unlocked were basically lost. But then they pull the "Awaken your hidden Power" to return the lost levels and it got good again. The new Bosses are tough, I had my first Party wipe when trying to fight the Black Serpent on the Snaerfelt and it feels really cool to be going around finding new places and revisiting old locales with the Ultimate key. I already outfited my entire party with their Ultimate Costumes and unlocked the Chivalry tree for Sylvando which makes him the best support party member in the game.

I haven't even gotten the Yggdrasil Seedlings, I am busy with the side content to worry about Satan coming back to life.
