Playing Ultima 7 through Exult.

Finished Fallout 2. Finished Fallout last week. Finished Arcanum the week before that.
Fallout's story is better than Fallout 2's. But Fallout 2's gameplay is better than Fallout's. Arcanum, then again, has more replayability, but lacks Fallout's superior story. Also: compared with both Fallouts combat in Arcanum sucks major donkey balls. The magic-versus-technology steampunk setting of Arcanum might be on par with the retro-50's post-apoc setting in Fallout, but the humor is largely gone and so are the floating texts. Details, true, but important ones that add the right flavour.
I am now going to waste my time with Fallout Tactics.

Playing Fallout 2 right now, again. Using the Resolution Patcher, makes things look actually pretty decent. I actually looked at some of the builds in Per's guide.
Pretty damn good.(the builds and the guide) Never thought to use a guide before, but, it certainly beats the hell out of the drivel on Gamefaqs.
+1 on all stats does seem a bit cheap.(reffering to the Gifted trait)

Actually i think Arcanum's story was one of the most unique stories ever.Fallout was also great, but i like Arcanum's more !alec said:

Other than that, I play Kohan 1 + the expansion and Kohan 2. Very underrated strategy games - it's helluva hard to aquire them here in Poland. Lots of fun with it, though - I recommend it to anyone who can play a strategy game.

I agree. The Kohan series is very decent. Compared with lots of other RTS games from that time, the gameplay was efficiently simple (less micromanagement than the first AoE anyway) yet still highly addictive. The only thing I didn't like about the games was the rather bland atmosphere and surroundings. The AoE series scored way better in that regard, IMO.Ravager69 said:

i have played a lot of RTSes but the only ones i go back to time after time is the Dark Reign 1+2 games.
of course i have never played starcraft either.
recently bought CSS and have been playing that lately as a CT on a dust2 no awp server and its pretty fun. interesting setup this server has, basically they have a bank with intrest and auto-withdraw that as long as you arent withdrawing 15k every single round you never run out of money.
i hate fucking scouts tho. HS through the door all the time bullshit. i have just stopped jumping and running straight through because everyone assumes the jump so they always miss me.

Diablo 2 at the moment. Believe it or not I have never played it all the way through. When it first came out my computer wasn't good enough to let me play it all the way through. Too many bad guys on screen bogged it down.

All gaming with be done for 2-4 days until our house gets put back together from the move and after the plane flight, but when I do return to gaming, I will finish Metal Arms: Glitch in the System, I hate leaving games unfinished.

I haven't played a decent multiplayer shooter since Quake 3, so I bought COD4, Battlefield 2124 with Northern Strike and Orange Box.
The amount of bad design decisions in COD4 makes you think about Oblivion. Endless waves of respawning enemies diminish any sense of achivement, the color scheme is awful and singleplayer is plain racist.
Multiplayer is quite enjoyable, except I'm terrible at it; there are no unobvious movement mechanics and most weapons are damaging enough so even a hopelessly terrible player has a chance.
Team Fortress 2 is great, deep, yet accessible. My only complaint is that half of low-ping servers are filled with 12-year old commanders that are incredibly irritating. Oh, and all those people who broadcast music over the microphone. Fuck them.
2124 is the best of the three. Tactical, slow-paced gameplay that rewards troop coordination and proper placement of yourself on the battlefield more then any other game I played. And unlockables, they are actually meaningful! Too bad, the game is dying.

I played it the whole weekend and I guess I'm gonna finish Kotor today or tomorrow. I am quite tempted to replay it immediately, this time with a dark side character.
And I dunno if I am to wait for the Witcher enhancement-patch or not.

I got irritated with Witcher fairly quickly. Just the fact that they butchered the English version and you have to wait months later to get the "ENHANCED" version....pisses me off.
