General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

I installed Halo and began to play on Legendary. Wo-ho, challenge! The pillar of autuum was pretty challenging, I'm already on second level now, near the part where two guys with handguns hide. And the masses of Elites and Grunts are handing my ass to me.

PS: Each time I look at the hand of a Marine, I can see with humans are losing the war: The horrible Assault Rifle. No, really. That weapon is horrible. Sprays a lot of ammunition, enemies don't even FEEL the shots, even the grunts. If the marines were outfited with the pistols and the shotguns, the Covenant would die in horrible ways.

The Plasma Pistol is pretty good. I'm using it and the human pistol, although it seems like, for some reason, the Elites found a way to shrug off all bullets and now they seems to be able to take bullets like pros. In the Pillar, even the red Elites were able to die with some shots from my trustry sidearm.

I'm being trounced because there are two red elites which I usually kill with the nedleer and my plasma pistol, even hitting them mano-a-mano if they come too near. But then come TWO dropships against me! Though two sides! And then come armies of Red Elites with Grunts and some Blue Elites as help. And those Red Elites can soak up damage like there's no tomorrow.
 
If you aren't already; I recommend shooting the plasma pistol as fast as possible (you can get it shooting much faster than the plasma rifle).


But yeah, wait until you get to the flood. The shotgun grunts are going to have you pulling your hair out.
 
Serious Sam 2. Now THAT'S what I call a mindless shooter. It's rather cool though but nowhere near Serious Sam First and Second Encounter.

I DONE IT! It was hard, but I managed to kill wave after have of Elites, Grunts and even one annoying Jackal who showed up in the end and was pronptly plasma-ed down! I love the Needler now, great weapon to kill Elites with!
 
Testing Team Fortress 2 for the free weekend (y). Pretty cool for now, I might even buy it if can get enough people for a clan.
 
You should really consider getting the orange box. It's only $39.99 which is chump change for the amount of content you're getting.

Orange Box rocks, except they updated Half Life 2 and Episode 1 in a funky way that dosen't like my graphics card. Other than that it is one of the best deals this century.

Currently playing Fallout 1, decided to go through them and complete the Fallouts again.

And Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 because it's just a laugh on co-op.

Nah, not that I'm interested in HL2's episodes anymore now that I've already beat them... the same goes for Portal.

Hope I can let go playing or tomorrow's tests will be a problem $:
 
I honestly wish they would announce Half Life 2 Episode 3 already.
That would be the only game I would be truly looking forwards too.

With the exception of Bionic Commando for PC of which I can't find a release date it seems all the games I might have been somewhat interested in have been postponed until next year.

I might actually borrow Fallout 3 from someone for the sheer fact that there are no other PC games of interest.

As for what I am playing right now, well C&C Renegade.
Well I think its okay.
 
damn you are right. i thought operation flashpoint 2 would be released end of the year. i are wrong =( i think ill find myself another copy of the old game, stupid me gave it away to a friend when i started to play wow. damn i even play stalker (oblivion lost) as i would play opflash... great great game that was.
 
Fallout 2 with the MIB88 MegaMod 2.34, first time user of this mod and so far I love the new locations, quests etc.

+ Freelance slavery :clap:
 
Dawn of War : DC WH40XP mod and Soulstorm Fullscale_Warzone. Meaning cleansing the unclean with nuns with guns aka bullet babes.
 
Jagged Alliance 2 + 1.13 mod.

Really fun and challenging.
With new stuff like the new inventories and many new guns!
Ability to customize the game to your liking is a big plus too!
