General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

GTA San Andreas again.

All the PS2 games I used to play that I can get on PC in fact.

And I dunno if I am to wait for the Witcher enhancement-patch or not.
The Witcher has long loading times and a broken quikasve feature.
i had about 7 gigs of save files !
The English dialogues are also quite broken.
If these things don't bother you can play it right.you will eventually have to play it some time later again because of the choices !

Hell yeah, I'm looking forward to this one!

Yeah, I noticed that. I heard about the dialogue stuff, too. Will that be fixed in the Enhanced Version?

I guess I'll be getting bored soon enough, so I will probably play it right away. I like the getting-drunk effect, though they should've implemented different dialogues when Geralt is drunk.

I'm going to have to check my save folder.

Crap, why didn't I spot that in my SegaCD days... Instead, I played Sewershark... yuch!

If it makes up for it, Sega CD Snatcher wasn't that well advertised when it was released, being something else than packed with FMV.

Stalker with Realism Graphic Mod. It makes the game so terryfing ( the night is pitch black, not just cloudy as it usually is and you often get ambushed by ennemies you didn't see ) and beautiful ( it greatly improves lights, shadows and clouds ).

jebus... how do you survive an ambush? oO stalker in higher difficulties is all about not getting hit, if possible. and yep, i still play stalker. like the 5th time, and i cant bring myself to let it end other than the "good" ending.

::::::::::possible spoilage:::::::::::

i have seen 3 endings thus far, the "i wanna be rich" ending, the one where you agree to join the c-consciousness, and the (long) good ending. but there are at least 2 others, "i want to be immortal" and "i want the zone to disappear". both can be found on youtube, but i havent found out what the prerequisites are. poor/rich? reputation? and in what combination? or has it something to do which faction you join (duty/freedom)? i dont join any so i can have both traders and more "quests". and since you cant put down money, it might be problematic to decrease it below 2000 (below 2000 was a prerequisite for one ending, forgot which one)

Well...I can't imagine playing Stalker with that mod by night in higher difficulties. It would be insane because ennemies can see you as they do normally but you, on the other hand, can just hear them, or see their flashlight and shapes ( when the night is at its darkest ).

i got 8 saves, making 145mb.

so i'm wondering just how many saves Vault13 has...

Finished Fallout Tactics. It's a fun game at times (some missions are really well-made, IMO), but it's amazing how easy the game becomes if you've already played it a couple of times before. Small Guns + Sneak + Throwing = deadly combo from start to finish. I often left my squad waiting at the starting point and single-handedly took out 90% of the enemies on a map. It also plays better in RT than in TB. Only used TB for a couple of battles (like when you set the Deathclaw Mother free or when those mutants attack the ghoul stronghold + nuke). I like the graphics, though, always have and always will.

Ordered a copy of Soul Reaver.

Just installed Age of Empires 2 + The Conquerors and played a skirmish game against the Huns. Me = Goths. I totally fucked them up, of course. 8-)

I just beat Earthbound from beginning to end again for the fifth time. I, as a rule, don't really like Japanese RPGs but I am not sure why I love this one. Maybe it's because it was my first venture into an RPG when I was a kid. It just appeals to me I suppose.

I am thinking about moving on to another one. Maybe Mother 3 even though I can't read Japanese.

Started playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R and finished it, but missed tons of side-quests in my first playthrough. Will probably start it again. Quite good game, could have benefited from more RPG elements though.

I think I'll also replay Arcanum one of these days.

Okay. So I broke down and played Civilization Revolution on the secksboughcks.

Seriously speaking. It just feels like a shortened, dumbed down, easy, lack of depth, piece of shit you would come to expect from a console RTS. It was extremely easy even set on Deity setting. I was disappointed. It really shoulda been called "Sid Meyer's Bastard Child Civilization Revolution"

Not. That. Good. To me anyways.

A shame, I have been with the Civilization series since Civ 2 and I was actually curious about Civilization Revolution.

I guess I won't need to get that title.
