General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Yer. Bionic Commando Rearmed is fucking awesome. How did they take a hard ass game and make it harder? Still stuck at the Albatross mechanical rooms...

It is a blast though.

I also play several Roguelike games, mainly Dwarf Fortress and NetHack. A little bit of everything :P .
Haha. I remember playing one of those on my old KayProII.

Whats with everyone suddenly wanting to play Halflife? I don't know what made me play it but I went through all the games minus Blue Shift. Maybe its the aliens...

I think I might buy Force Unleashed or at least rent it.

Alone in the Dark.

Fantastic storytelling, and cinematics. Crappy control, but I can live with it.

I'm playing a lot of Galactic Civilizations 2 - Twilight of the Arnor lately. Great game! Lovers of 4X games should check it out!

I formed my own federation of super-diplomatic humans, which I call "Democracy of Man." It's a game of Dread Lord Dominion. The Democracy of Man began as group of pacific diplomats and traders determined to trade with everyone and be rich, very rich. It was a peaceful time of colonization, human expansion and galactic peace. The Dominion of Korx and the Altarians were great trading friends, even the Dregin weren't menacing. The Iconians were slighty angry, but nothing else.

It all came to a end when the Thalans appeared and began a rampage though the galaxy. All the other races tried to stop them, but Iconians were defeated and surrendered to their evil Thalan opressors. The Altarians surrendered to the Korx and the Arceans surrendered to the Thalans.

Then, the Thalans turned to fight the Democracy of Man. They didn't wimp out, however. The once pacific civilization began to build their fleet, which was the most advanced of all fleets and able to stop many atacks on border worlds. A land atack on a border world was stoped thanks to primitive Thalan technology (more numbers don't do jack against more advanced soldiers, alien asshats). As the atacks against terran ships increased, the Democracy of Man prepared a greater fleet. The war began recently, with the Democracy of Man taking a former Iconian-now-Thalan world in our territory, near the borders with the Korx. Will the Democracy of Man defeat the greatest empire of the galaxy or will they perish?

So far, no Dreadlords where sighted. Where the hell are they, anyway? I hope they don't appear while I fight the Thalans, that would be VERY bad.

C&C Generals : Zero hour

Actually better than i expected but not a masterpiece really, it feels like somewhat slow compared to older CC games, even with max speed. Or im just not used to the warcraft styled building yet.(units for building and repairing)

I keep returning to Heroes of Might and Magic 3 ...

It was the game that made my wife realise that gaming is fun - an important moment in our relationship :)

A game in an XL map for the two of us (Hot Seat) always involves hours of laughs and big cups of tea under the blanket in the couch ... A game every two to three months means it never gets old or too much at any given time. Perfect.

I'd already playing the Enhanced Witcher if the download-servers weren't absolutely swamped. Meh, what did I expect?

The Force Unleashed, for all those who reckon the story and setting are more important than the game play, you can at least skip the game and just buy the novelization. Something I'm begining to wish I had done.

Game really that bad?

I read the plot on Wookieepedia and already found it questionable, it has the new George Lucas stamp all over it.

Some said it would be like a sequel to the Jedi Knight gamesbut it honestly doesn't feel like it.
