General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Got GTA IV last night, took me an hr to get it to work. I can't use my old game pad that I used for the previous titles, which makes steering a bitch. Other then that its fun. They included a parody of Sea Gate, the first place I lived in America. I killed a bunch of rent-a-cops over for that time they threw my in their "Jail Cell" when I was 16.

I'm also playing Left 4 Dead but I need a short brake or more people I know to play.

I have indeed moved on to the new Prince of Persia. I can't stop playing it.
Aside from the few gripes (tad repetitive, bad Americanized voices that don't fit the setting) it's alot of fun and in my opinion pretty.

EDIT: It's still no Sands of Time.

Just installed the Blade runner adventure game on my computer and I am amazed that it works perfectly fine on Xp without tweaking anything ..

What fedaykin said. I tried replaying it some time ago and it seemed to run a-okay. Then the shooting range - sadness... :(

Such a gem that game. It's a shame.

You could slow down your computer using a program like cpukiller. But that's effective only on older computers. I have an e8400 processor and even at maximum slowdown it won't become slow enough for the shooting range to work. If you have something older, you might have more luck. Like an Athlon XP 2400. When I had that one, the slowdown trick worked.

I have an ancient P4 3ghz so I don't think it will be possible , going to try it out anyway.

Thanks for the tip.

edit: The shooting range: I was under the impression that 'it' would run to fast .. however it seems the other way around I have to wait for ages before targets appear ...

next: trying the cpukiller

Playing some Mercenaries 2 for the Xbox 360, totally worth the 15 dollars I paid for it. Even if it is the definition of an EA published game.

Maybe if i can find my old p2 and scrap together something. Blade Runner seems like a great game... I loved the movie!

Alright well.....
I was cleaning out the ol' bedroom closet when I came across a box thought long forgotten.

I open it up to my surprise three old SNES carts inside with all the cords to my very first SNES. (console itself had been smashed ages ago)
But to my surprise once more. My long lost Starfox cart!!!

I was ecstatic! Stoked! I found my newer SNES. Hooked it up to my old analog tv. I was 7 again. Spending hours fighting my way through the galaxy. With that Corneria tune that got my pumped as a child still was getting me pumped.

This I gotta say is the best I've felt in ages. I don't feel old anymore. At the same time it made me realise I hadn't played a good Starfox since the 64 era. Nintendo, as a huge Starfox fan. Make another good Starfox. Remember the formula. Of all the franchises you refuse to fuck up, why'd you pick this gem to murder.

Hell it was the first game I had played in my life with real 3D graphics.

EDIT: God I even love their cartoony "voices"
Fox: Blehblehbleh buh bleh bleh
Pepply: Weh wuhh weh wehh
Slippy: Gra gra grog go gra graa
Falco: Buhbuh buh buh buh.

Yes! The cpukiller did the trick. I have to turn down my cpu to 30% during the shooting range action and that's it. I can play this amazing game without further trouble (I hope)

:D

Thanks man

Playing Mount and Blade - Star Wars mod. I have to say, it is very impressive. Right now I'm playing a cold sniper with a bad ass laser rifle.

when I moved from my old place I left two old computers, I think both were p3's, that I were going to use to put together a computer for older games only. now they're thrown away and gone forever... I regret it badly :(

King's Bounty: The Legend

And I think its just awesome, way better than HoMM5

Reading about Blade Runner - Anybody played "Ubrik"? Should have been released around that time, maybe a bit later. Never played it, only read about it
