General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

R6 Las Vegas 2, I thought sequels were meant to improve things? About the only improvement is there seems to be slightly less bloom. Perhaps if they concentrated on better ai and more tactical options rather than changing your appearance then this might of been a better game.

Ah they are making more R6 and Ghost Recon games, any one want to be how much dumber they'll get? Perhaps if they combined Vegas and GRAW2 (pc version) they might actually have something tactically satisfying.

Finished R6V2 a while ago.

The ending consists of you
[spoiler:b457ac4cef]taking out a fucking helicopter gunship as well as twenty enemy soldiers, all by yourself[/spoiler:b457ac4cef] - the Rainbow Six series has truly degraded. Gameplay is linear, no planning or real strategy, and graphics are quite bad as well. Only good thing about it is the weapon sounds.

I've just reached that bit, it's got to be the dumbest ending to any game I've ever played.

The first game was mediocre but with the big 'to be continued' at the end I was looking forward to continuing the story. I know R6LV2 is meant to be part prequel and part sequel but I didn't expect it to be 90% prequel or that the (non-existent) story would feel like it has virtually nothing to do with the previous game. It just feels like a bunch of maps that didn't make it into the first game.

And the character customization is really exploitable, reach a checkpoint, low on grenades, have the wrong weapon/armour for the job. Just exit to the main menu and change your load out and then continue from the checkpoint, instant refill.

right before finishing my first playthrough of Vampire:the masquerade-Bloodlines, and anticipating my second playthrough right after. great game.

Tried to play Fallout 3 and my Xbox got the red ring of death. Is it possible that Fallout 3 sucks so much cock that it can kill a system?

GTA IV

The game starts kinda boring, lets see if it will get any better.

Because your boring mang.

Get drunk, play the game, take the RPG into the Hospital and scream about health insurance until your neighbor calls the cops.

Dude, change your av. I checked this thread and I was thinking: "WTF? Did I write that? I can't remember that at all. Must have been drunk..."

I'm playing some Onslaught, a Tower Defence game (Flash game).

I'm playing Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition. The game plus all it's expansions. I'm about five hours in with a lawful good dwarf fighter. A decent game so far and I'm really interested in it's replay value given the character creation and alignment choices. I also like how all the statistics are displayed in an optional bar so the D&D purists can check for quality.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

Aiyugh, Neverwinter Nights, couldn't stomach that game for extended periods of time, felt like everyone was dancing circles around eachother while they were fighting with some phased combat system even wonkier than the Infinity Engine's.

playing a bunch of demos i have downloaded:

Battlefield: Bad Company - I don't think that any game has such beautiful gun sounds. I just wanna keep shooting just to hear the weapons firing

Warhawk: damn, this reminds me of the very first battlefield. It's an awesome multiplayer game.

The Darkness - The demo wasn't anything special, bored me a bit to be honest. don't know if the game gets any better later on.

Haze: damn...the game has gamecube graphics!!!! WTF!!! what where they thinking when they were making this game. no wonder Free Radical went bankrupt!

Edit: Okay, Mirrors Edge finished installing, let's see how is that! :p

I loved The Darkness I really hope there's a sequel.

Currently playing JA2 UB with the SOG-69 mod. Damn I'd really love to play this with the 1.13 improvements. Now where did I put my copy of Paint it Black?

Trying out Crayon physics deluxe, it's interesting but it sure is no World of Goo!

Well I had to try it, so I rented Soul Calibur IV.
It's very meh topped with meh sauce. Honestly it's just the same game as before as with most of the Tekken games.

Besides, someone got Force Unleashed promotional character in my fantasy arena fighting.

Then moving onto the next Price of Persia game after I get bored with Soul Calibur.

Looks okay from what I've seen in previews and such. Only playing will tell.

Deus ex.
I saw a pic of the gameplay in the net.
I rummaged for hours to find my copy.
Installed it.
Played it through 4 times. 40 hours of quality gaming.
I feel that i finally managed to flush the awfulness of Fallout 3 out of my system. Took a long time.

I also tried gta IV , but it...was buggy, boring and not "GTA" like Vice city was. Stopped playing it.

Just started new PoP. Im not really liking it that much either, combat feels downgraded.
