GTA V

Too bad it's not for the next generation of consoles but it is always good news when they announce new GTA.

*Corrected: I hope R* releases a PC version.

I was actually thinking about the same thing. They never bothered releasing Red Dead Redemption on the PC. Which is kind of strange because it would have definitely helped their sales. They are definitley going to release it for the consoles first, just like L.A Noir and GTA IV.

GTA is their flagship game it would really surprise me if they didn't release it on as many platforms as possible. Isn't RDR the only game (beside their table tennis game) they haven't released on pc (yet).

Not sure, but it is really strange that they didn't release RDR for the PC. It was a very enjoyable game. I liked it more than GTA IV to be honest.

A PC version of RDR, now that's a nice thought.

Gave up on 4 about half an hour in, installed Vice City instead. Way too scripted for my liking, especially after playing Saints Row 2 for so long.

Yeah RDR is a work of art (IMO), it's one of the few games I still play on the old xbox. Everything about that game clicked with me from the epic rainstorms to the five finger fillet.

Dude, I was talking about Red Dead Redemption. :D
Never really had the chance to play Red Dead Revolver.

I think that 'The Ballad of Gay Tony' actually managed to bring back some of that Vice City feel.

Which is the best thing about Vice City. San Andreas surpassed it in every way gameplay wise.

If I remember correctly the TV in GTA IV did talk about one of the previous cities a lot. Wasn't it San Andreas?

They better don't bother with the PC version at all if the only thing they can come up with is a mediocre port. May the game play be as awesome as possible. But it is not even half as fun if the port is just shoddy work.

Indeed, I'm curious how the pc version of LA Noire will turn out.
I hope their pc porting skills have improved since IV.

I avoided the GTA series for a long time since the media was only talking about the violence level in the game. To me it seemed silly and cheap and I never thought I would play it.

When I did however, (GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, GTA IV), I was surprised by the flexibility and how everything was up to me as a player I was baffled and could not stop playing. The size of San Andreas ... pheew. You could focus on cars, your clothes, your body, your skills etc and kind of only had to do missions once in a while. I liked the acting and the story as well.

The only thing that is abit annoying is the fact that there are no saves and that some missions are very hard.

I am absolutely looking forward to GTA V ... Can't wait.

I don't like "trailer coming" announcements.

Still, it's cool. I fully assume it'll come to PC, it'd be really weird for a PC franchise like this to abandon PC right when the platform is getting back on top. I have no reason why they didn't do RDR on PC either, even LA Noire is getting a port.

Man don't listen to the media like that.
