Gun Control

If you wanted a main weapon you should look somewhere in simplicity.

I like Ar-180 design concepts, but they aren't much better for access or use than an AK-74 would be.

It's fashionable to say this or that about certain weapon-systems, but if you have handled these firearms and thought about actually feeding and shooting them, it's hard to argue for reasons not to just get an AR-15.

IMO, again, armed struggle should always be the weapon of last resort. Unless we are getting close to or are living in an Orwellian nightmare, there is always a better path.

OTOH

Always thought it was a cool weapon in F2. Interesting idea on the mag being convertible to a land mine.

Well, that's more "availability" than "simplicity", innit.
Unless you count "simplicity of getting replacement parts", I guess.

Simplicity of manufacture with modern tools everyone uses now anyways.

Simplicity of the inline direct impingement gas key bolt receiver buffer controlled system that is utilized in the rifle.

Simplicity logistically when considering the performance on the ammunition and its relative purpose and effectiveness. Simplicity in manual of operation and ease of handling.

Simplicity in a modularly-designed system.

Simplicity that every part can be interchanged.

Simplicity that manufacturing will vary less between companies because of the inherent design of the rifle.

I mean I can go on and on.

At the end of the day you don't want a fucking boat anchor.

The first point is kinda funny since the AR-18 was specifically developed to simplify the manufacturing process.
The mechanism, well, doesn't really make much difference. The AR-15 uses direct impingement, a lot of other common rifles use short stroke pistons.
Ammunition is the same, and handling isn't any more complex, so dunno what's the point here.

The more modular guns are the less gun control we have. We need more gun control.

It's heavier and more complex. It's got a big-heavy bolt. It shoves the mass in the receiver assembly around at the fulcrum that causes muzzle rise when firing. It's noticable enough in certain applications to make it relevant.

It's inherent in any design of its type.

Ease of manufacture, with old manufacturing tools?

It's easier for me to now build my own AR than anything. I can make the entire thing polymer if I wanted to.

Ease for mass production at the time of inception. Forging and turning is more time intensive than stamping sheet metal and spotwelding it. But that's just the shell, you can make a polymer AR-18 now. It's called "G36".

Hell yeah son get you an 180 upper and have fun!

G36 is not a free-floated barrel. It has a piston in it aswell. No thanks. Have fun.

I can't wait until guns like that are gone. Then I will feel truly S A F E.

Yo, I got tired of waiting so my vacation from this thread's over. Did it go anywhere positive and constructive while I was gone? Were any liberals convinced to become less radical, understand why human rights are good, and support gun rights?

also does posting this help?

edit: also this motherfucka

I've seen weapons that discharge 2 rounds at a time (double-barrel revolvers) but firing 50 to 30 rounds at a time? Now THAT'S power! Even the most extreme weapons in my upcoming indie game Chessica Wildcard: Bigger Is Better In Battle don't go that high. I have one seven-barreled shotgun that comes close though.

Dude nothing is getting anywhere. Ever. We will be arguing over weapons 100 years from now.

I'm going to be real with you, I have no idea why we argue over this.

Lefties want us disarmed and dead or in chains, and they don't offer anything in return when they demand we compromise with them.

I'm starting to think they don't even care how their ways bring death, poverty, destruction, and failure.
