Hard Reset (Wooz's game) revealed

Looking good, Wooz.

And I believe making it look good is your job?

Some sites are reporting it as an FPSRPG. Not sure where that's coming from. It's a straight-up FPS, isn't it?

Well... since you put it that way. Was Bioshock an RPG?

Bioshock was not an RPG. It was an above average FPS.

My job is drawing stuffs before the modelers and texture artists sculpt/texture the assets/enviro/characters/whatevs, doing in-game posters/art and a few decals, in addition to drawing loading screens 'twixt ye olde levels.

I also sometimes sing little songs and attempt to expose my team-mates to enrichening, inspiring and stimulating works of art that I find on the internets.

Bioshock was not an RPG. It was an above average FPS.

... which was erroneously described by some gaming sites as an FPS/RPG hybrid, much like HR. We have more purchaseable upgrades for the main character than Bioshock, but no, it's not an RPG.

You should add in a reminder to eat and drink. ;)

By the way, is the size of that HUD scaleable/changeable in size? It looks kind of big to me in that video.

I really enjoyed Bioshock...for me it's been one of the best FPS games I've played.

Nope. It looks big on the screens, but it really doesn't bother you in-game. I think the vids don't capture the whole screen resolution, but I could be wrong.

Plus, you can upgrade it into an enemy-locating thingamajig, in which case the large screen/dial is pretty useful.

In a similar way to the new Fallouts (Blips in the direction of the enemies) or what do you mean?

About the upgrade system, will the weapons change its looks for weaponspecific upgrades(For instance; If you upgrade the damage of the weapon, will it's plasmabolts of the weapon change it's colour from red to pink)? Or are they all "morphs"?

Oh, and is the game going to support 4:3 or is it letterboxed in that case?

Like an aircraft radar display in videogames?

Both weapons change appearance in real-time depending on the firing mode you're using. It's pretty spiffy.

Erm. It should?

Norway's most applauded gaming website is saying Hard Reset looks good!

http://www.gamer.no/artikler/90311/sniktitt-hard-reset/

They are a bit worried about the checkpoint system and would like to see a normal save game option, and they feel the difficulty is a bit unbalanced so far.

They love the retro shooter feel and like the exploration needed to find the really good rewards.

A good old shooter not trying to be anything else, and with the secret rooms etc from Ye'old shooters of the past.

Oh; and they say it is beautiful. :)

A shooter? I like your drawings, but I don't like how this game looks one bit. It just ain't my thing.

Aye, got some gripes with some aesthetic decisions myself. Ah well.
