Hard Reset (Wooz's game) revealed

Will it have DLCs ? Jokes aside I did read about it on somewhere else(gamespot) and it did leave a good impression, didn't know Wooz had something to do wit it.

I love how the first tidbit mentions that there's people from The Witcher working on it - like there's a plethora of other Polish developers to choose from.

I'll probably buy it to support Woozie, but I don't know if I'll play it much. It doesn't really seem like my kind of game.

Love the name, "Hard Reset". Sounds bad ass :D

PC exclusive SP only? This could only get better if for sequel you made it more into RPG :-).

I wonder what the price tag is going to be.. 30, 40 or 60. I will probably buy it for 40.

here's a detailed look

I wonder who donated the Polish the computers they made the game on.

Actually, we made it on old etch-a-sketch boards.

Worry not, It's not like when Crysis came out that you needed to go forward in time to be able to play the game. It runs very well on a 9800, and good on a 8800...

There actually is a fairly big, albeit relatively new game development community. In Warsaw alone, there's at least four big studios?

Looks fun, but a checkpoint-only save system is a big deal breaker for me.

I'm reminded of Far Cry where if you played on Veteran or Realistic, 75% of the game was spent re-playing sections you already cleared over and over simply because you died ~10 feet from a save point.

a checkpoint system can be quite good though. It depends on the game play I remember quite a few games which have been very great because of that. It gave it on one side some difficulty and on the other a sense of "realism" if you want so.

Alien vs Predator the first PC game was pretty scary exactly because of that since you simply could die quite fast and well it was only about checkpoints. God I still get a shiver sometimes when I am thinking about it. What an awesome game (for its time of course).

You guys are just spoiled brats. So its natural that some old-school mechanics turn you down :P

If by old-school mechanics; you mean "console mechanics", then yes, you're correct.

You could save whenever you wanted back in Wolfenstein 3D, and that's pretty fucking oldschool in my book.

AvP1 never had checkpoints. It first had a limited number of times you can save depending on the difficulty, but you could do so anywhere. The final Steam re-release (AvP Classic) made the number infinite.

Pre-ordered on Steam. This better be good, Wooz, or I'm going to come choke my money out of you!
