Hate Newspapers Thread

Someone should make a mod that adds Paperboy to the Pipboy mini games and replace the death sound with a soundbite from the "Hate Newspaper" option.

Why don't we ask the newcomer here, you like Huey Lewis And The News?

Maybe we are being unfair, and it doesn't have to do with newspapers per se, but you - as a character - have the complexity to support or hate most topics presented to you - such as "Hate scrap metal" "Support pistol" "Hate jumpsuit"

Even if they implemented that it's not like there would be c&c, this is Bethesda where talking about. It would be like "Like newspapers" then she replies "I find a man passionate about liking newspapers attractive! I know a special place we can go! Follow me". "HATE NEWSPAPERS!" she replies with "I should hate you but I find a man that hates newspapers with such passion very attractive, follow me to a place we can go!".
Such a lust for HATE NEWSPAPERS!!!

Guys I think you are missing the best part of that dialogue sequence, the "What Newpsaper" option makes the character literary just say "What newspaper".
As you can see, we were wrong, we NEEDED voice acting, I mean now we can just FEEEELLLL all the emotion Mr 111 is putting in asking a two word question, it is worth missing the other 7 options and Skill Checks because we can now hear him ask two word questions, we were so blind to hate voiced protagonists, it's the way of the future!

It'll be just like Mass Effect's dialogue system except written as if they hired Emil's children!

A lot of this game reminds me so much of Mass Effect that its even funny. And this is how everyone wants their RPG's to be like?!:wtf:

If you're talking about Bethesda fans, I think many of them are kinda divided on that part. I mean for the most part Bethesda games offered you a different experiences compared to Mass Effect. There is quite some discussion about if the change to a voiced protagonist with this soldier-boy-with-family-background was actually a good idea.

A lot of Beth fans will defend them no matter what, but that doesn't mean that they always agree with every single change.

True and I agree but I believe that this didn't necessary come from Beth fans but rather disgruntled Bioware and Mass Effect fans that wanted to latch onto a new franchise after Bioware royally screwed up Mass Effect 3 and give them a BIG middle finger after years of support and fanboyism. I have mostly seen only Bioware or former Bioware fans trying shove in the voiced protagonist into Fallout. If anything we may just see history repeat itself.

I'm having the same feeling, I sure as hell don't want my RPGs like this though. I prefer a silent protagonist, it feels like they WANT you to play as the default generic "Mr. Vault 111" since his voice and marriage background are shoved down your throat(I would say female but they didn't show any gameplay trailers with her, just him).
