A rape of society, people.
It's really easy to make people seem foolish when you take hyperbole at face value.

I'd imagine it would be even easier if they specifically equated an optional RMT auction house with rape. Projecting that unto the whole of society would likely enable the autopilot.

My biggest gripe is constant internet connection, it's bullshit, especially since my internet connection has the reliability of as a junkie and only works half the time (especially when my mom works from home). So it's going to be a pain in the balls for me to play.

But I'm probably still going to end up buying the game, I caved in and bought Starcraft 2 (which was kind of a mistake cause I got bored of it after a week and none of my friends play and when they actually do I'm working/busy with school shit). But i plan on making time for at least a few games a week with D3 with my friends.

As for mods... I've never used them for D2 so personally it doesn't bother me that much, it's retarded sure but not really going to affect me in the long run.

The part that irks me about no mods has nothing to do with gameplay, but graphical tweaks.

There would be a day one "No more WOW/Disco colors" mod.

This is a fisting of society!

Meh, I don't mind them putting colors in. I prefer being able to actually see what's going on, and it's still quite a bit darker than WoW

I don't mind the colours either, apart from having a wider pallette of blues and purples in dungeon areas it's not that different from 2.
Sure Diablo was dark but it was night time all the time.

Constant connection would be a pain for me as well because my connection cuts out at least once a day.

Sounds like you didnt played the game.

The real problem I have with Diablo 3 is that their engine simply looks freaking ugly. Not so much from the colours but that "everything" has to be in 3D. And 3D engines do not age very well ...

depends since most people mean "Diablo2" when they say "Diablo". So yeah mixing those up can be easy. But remember Diablo 1 was only a single dungeon.

Uh yea, but I was refering to Diablo le first when I was talking about it being dark.
Quite how numbers of dungeons factor into how light a game is I have no idea.

Also no Paladin or Warrior Who Doesn't Wear Spiky Stupid Looking Armour in this game? Screw that.

because It might be hard to have day-time inside a dungeon. That is what I mean. like - night time all the time. Like that matters inside a dungeon really.

I'm wondering how far they'll take this microtransaction thing.

I hope we don't see shit like seriously gimped stash space unless you pay $3 or so per character to extend it.

Then it's not just me. I too think that the game looks like shit. The D and D2's 2D graphics look actually better, if you ask me. I would honestly rather they keep it 2D but make it look real nice instead. I mean, what is the point of making a game like D3 in 3D anyway? D3 is still a 3rD person isometric game game, what does D3 in 3D and not in 2D like D2 accomplish exactly? :D:D:D

Crickey, is that an actual D3 screenshot? Man, that almost looks worse that Sacred 2. And Magicka probably looked better. Exactly what's the rationale behind releasing this?

But I guess we'd have to wait a bit to hear all the reviews praise it for beautiful next-gen graphics

keep in mind D3 has been in development for like 3-5 years. before torchlight was even started.

plus this online only thing may be another way for them to "hide" their mmo player numbers by somehow allowing them to wrap D3 players in to their WoW numbers to even more artificially bloat those #s.

anyone who even barely follows WoW #s knows that it is a blatant lie.
