Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

Hi there my name is malleus (actually no but you get it) and i decided to *finally* join this board to be able to reply to a recent post. Yes, being a lurker for more than 10 years (aprox., but who's counting?), that post was that awesome. Btw, thanks for the open door policy, lurkers are not always that bad ;)
Now here's something that makes me different from all of you: i'm a huge Fallout fan. :P
Seriously now, that first time i turned right (map wise) from Vault 13, saw a big green circle dubbed "Unknown", stopped and saw two people, one armed, the other beautifull...well, let's say that was the best introduction to a game ever. It was all there: danger and seduction for the unknown :)

long time player, and long time lurker.
i guess im of that "pro-old-fashioned-fallout" type crowd, insisting on prefering less 1st person constant shooting, and more of the rpg element. oh how they eyeroll at me :D

i guess it took... uhm... yeah, that ammount of years for my "aspie-block" to go away, and for me to go "wait a second... exactly why havent i registered? i like a forum!"

I've been lurking around the forums from time to time to see anything interesting is going on while I browse other forums. Think it's about time I decied to register and join the Inhabitants here.

A little desc about me: I'm preety much a hoarder when it comes to collecting video games. From buying obscure games that have little to no attention to just plain awful. But I'm also a bargainer, so when it comes to buying stuff that means little to me but is dirt cheap. Most likely I will take it. 871 Games and I'm still trying to find more in my spare time.

I'm also a fan of ambient, instrumental music. But also free to like any track from any genre I like.

Thats it for now. hope to enjoy my time here 8-)

Very, very long time lurker and Fallout Uber-Fan. I've finally pulled my finger out and joined up. I've always dug the folk at NMA for their cynical but not pyschotic viewpoint on things.

I'm a huge Post-Apoc/Sci Fi fan. But I'm also obsessed with many other things. Notably, theatre, Games, TableTop RPG's, Films...Jazz.

I've never actually played any of the Fallout series, much to the chagrin of my friends who scream "OMG WHY" at me (for various reasons, more often than not unrelated to my gaming habits). I've had New Vegas sitting on one of my drives since it came out and I've just never gotten 'round to playing it. This is pretty odd because I'm a dirty, layabout stoner and you'd think that would be the thing to do... first thing in the afternoon.

So, looking for motivation to start playing Fallout, I ended up discovering this forum, where you delightful, wholesome people hang out. I figured I'd fit right in.

My rape face just got a little rapier.

now you truly have a solemn duty to play fallout
1, 2 and 3 all go well with a spliff
the bethesda games are pot-friendly because of the nice atmosphere and ambience.
1 and 2 go well with smoking, because they are turn based, so you can calmly roll one up, in the middle of combat, which is awesome of course.

in fact, with killap's restoration mod, there are marijuana leaves included. i gave these to a follower of mine.
during combat, followers will sometimes use "chems".
imagine my joy to notice in my game-log, that my follower decided to "use" the weed i gave him, in time for combat.
time and place dude!

Hey, sorry just noticed this tread. Long time lurker, although wasteland brought me out to the unforgiving forum of NMA.

People seems more smart then the regular forums. But then again all human intelligence is a form of bias.

I played wasteland white my brother on my old dads computer. Have played fallout on my friend computer (pentium), and later i buy fallout and fallout 2 to play on my own computer. Fallout 3 is not a good game fore me, it was generally bad experience. Only redeeming feature was the walking and seeing the devastation (it did not make sence since it was 200 years after the bombs fell). Fallout new Vegas was great compared to crap fallout 3 was, but i missed the over world map and the descriptions.

wasteland 2 is coming and could not be more glad. Years of crap games FPS (expt far cry 1 and crysis 1.), and grind fest mmo's. Now we finally get old school text based rpg back.
