Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

Hello folks, I'm Pajari and I hail from the desolate northwestern portion of the United States, where potatoes grow wild and traffic is a five-car backup at a red light.

I played Fallout for the first time two years ago, beat it in a couple weeks of white-knuckle late-night gaming and I've been a Fallout freak ever since. I enjoy, besides Fallout, writing, programming (Java, and I'm learning C++), and playing all manner of games from Deus Ex to Combat Mission to Counter Strike. In music, my tastes vary from Audioslave and Incubus to Hendrix, Cream, and CCR from days of yore.

I am also a huge nerd- I read constantly, I built my own computer, idle on IRC all day long, and I'm working on a strategy game (computer, in Java) with a bunch of my friends this summer. Oh, and I write science fiction stories in my spare time.

Halo fanfiction.

What did I tell you? I'm an incurable geek.

EDIT: I've been reading the front page of NMA for years, but it's only been recently (3 months ro so) that I've broswed the forums and only a few days ago that I felt I was ready to enter into the halls of n00bdom.
