It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down.

I don't give a fuck about Bethesda. I just think your sad little corner of the internet is really embarrassing.

Carry on!

This is the most butthurt forum on the internet. The game has been out for like a day and everyone is an expert on the storyline/gameplay mechanics/graphics/whatever. Why even bother with it or the franchise itself if you're just waiting to bitch and moan about everything the day after it's released?

And bugs are irrelevant. The game will eventually be fixed just like every other game that's released nowadays. That's a problem of the game industry, not Fallout 4.

I mean, seriously, sitting on a forum and gloating over a negative metacritic score? Get some fresh air. I feel bad for all the people who bought the game and accidentally made their way to this forum to talk about it.

Why bother with the franchise? Because 3/5 of the franchise's main games were actually decent or even brilliant.
Bugs are not irrelevant. Bethesda seriously needs to understand that they can't get away with this anymore. They have not released a functional game in... Basically forever. Since Daggerfall (or even Arena? Never played that one) they have released barely playable messes that needed many, many fixes before becoming tolerable.
They claim they worked on it for seven years. Why not wait with the release or even the announcement until the game is good and ready? Optimisation, extensive testing, quality control. It can't be that for example the Advanced Graphics menu on PC is bugged. It can't be that (especially with AMD cards) there's massive issues with mipmap/LoD textures not loading properly. It can't be that it does the same fucking dance as Skyrim, as in crashing to desktop after 15 minutes and then running smoothly for the next few hours. Bethesda is a huge company, and frankly, people are getting sick and tired of them delivering banana software that's supposed to ripen at the customer's. Yes, it's a problem of the industry as well, but Bethesda is definitely one of the worst offenders.
So why do you bother to register on this forum just to tell the folks here how butthurt they are? Sounds pretty butthurt to me...

Show me just what Todd Howard brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.

Oh man, I really don't get how you guys can call this game unplayable mess.

I have around 20 hours in-game and I hadn't had any game breaking bugs. Few graphical glitches, rocketing raiders and other physics bugs. Once an elevetor didn't load and I walked right through it and fell under the level. Tato plants are sometimes unclickable in build mode but that is hardly game breaking.

I have 5 friends who have been playing this game with me from launch and have 20-40 hour in-game and nether of them have encountered bugs that break the game completely or make it unplayable anyway.

With our limited empirical data, we feel like this is one of the most polished Bethesda games ever released.

As for the gameplay, most of the people seem to enjoy it a lot. I can't wait to get back to home and play FO4 8 hours straight.

New dialogue system is really the only one that bothers me. Conversations I have had have been quite linear, I have had some success with lady killer perk, but overall I feel like charisma does not do anything or does not add any options. It does something, as I have talked to people and they have had to do something else than just talk to people to complete quests.

The thing that bothers me most, is that once you have done your quick conversation with them. People won't talk to you anymore. I once went to a settlement, they asked me to bring fertilizer. I completed their mainquest and suddenly, they didn't want to buy my fertilizer or anything else anymore. I just couldn't talk to anyone anymore. That was quite weird.

Other thing that bothers me is that I can't really play a bad guy. Sure some quests have good and bad ending, but bad ending is always just killing people pretty much. Being bad is boring and you are being punished for being bad with not getting good rewards for completing the quest. I wanted to play psychopath drug addict, but now I am stuck building some fucking good guys Minuteman happy place. I want to build a fucking raiders den!

While not gamebreaking, that is a bug or an oversight on the developers part. And you're saying this kind of stuff is not worth mentioning? Not worth criticizing? I won't say that FO4 is an unplayable mess because it clearly isn't, if it was then the user reviews would all be at like 2/10. It doesn't need to have gamebreaking bugs for it to have a lot of bugs though. And it doesn't even need to have bugs to be a boring repetitive sloppily developed cumrag.

They are worth mentioning, but people over metacritic and here are.. how to put it. Fanatic and overreacting. Calling this game unplayable garbage because of few bugs that in reality are not game breaking is childish and pointless. Giving ratings like 5/10 because some game mechanic isn't logical in real world analog is also pointless. It all comes off as a childish behavior. Like a kid who got wrong colored candy.

Why is it so hard to have rational talk about these issues instead of doing this pointless blaming and name calling? Everyone has so polarized black and white opinions are refusing to see common ground.

Is his forum going to 11? I feel that some posters are going from cold/rational criticism scale to the destruction scale.

 - that's pretty good.

Oh man, I really don't get how you guys can call this game unplayable mess.

So you start your post with that sentence and then proceed to answer yourself? The dialogue system is SHIT. Game ruining shit. The quests are shit. Game ruining shit. The NPC interaction is shit. Game ruining shit.

No idea about empirical data but with my rather vast experience with computer games I can safely say I've played good games in my life. Fallout 4 is not one of them.

Brings back lovely memories of that famous Rausch quote. Love it.

In the end the game is shit. We can all attest by making a review if we had the time and wanted to.

I don't see the need. Everyone can see it clearly before them if they aren't a total casual or a brainwashed idiot.

Sure there are grey areas but even if I have some fun I can still judge the whole game differently. It's weird that some people have to eat a turd to know it tastes like shit.

Yes, how can we? We are such an evil bunch, aren't we! Well ... we just ... did ... because ... that's the truth? What else do you call a game that is full of bugs, and not just a few minor ones like glitches and textures not loading here and there.

We are talking about game breaking bugs that force you to either perform some magic in the game - using fast travel to restart routines of NPCs. Or sometimes even to completely restart the whole quest/reloading a previous save game.

Bethesda is making games for 20+ years by now. Don't give them a free pass anymore! It's not ok. It simply isnt. It never was.

It fucking doesn't matter if you're sitting in a toll booth, driving a bus with school kidz or programing a game. You should do your damn job. And you should do it well. Releasing bugged games for decades is not.

And I don't care about shitty lame excuses anymore, like nuuhuuu, it's open world gamez, they are buggy! Nuhuuu, they are always so ambitious, you can't avoid bugs when you do nuuw things!

Like as that would have any relevance.

Aaaah! The typical game-is-runing-perfect-for-me-your-experience-must-be-wrong response. Didn't saw that one for quite some time. Your experience with the game is not important in anyway when people talk about the buggines of a game. I am pretty sure there have been a ton of people that never encountered a serious problem with Arkham Knight on the PC. Doesn't change the fact that it was a buggy mess.

Ah... but the thing is, how can we really judge a turd unless we've tasted it?

It's fine if the one doing it is Bethesda. I mean, just look at that professional reviewer score and writing!

I work in console games store. On day one we sold ~30 units of FO4 on PS4 and 3 on XO. 11th was national holiday in my counrty, so everyone ot some time to dive into the game. Its 1 p.m. here and we got 5 (five, for god's sake) returns. All customers says the game is one way or antoher unplayable - it freezes, bugs makes some quest unfishable etc. I'm having a hard time explaining it's not fault of disc, but the game itself. I feel sorry for those dudes - they want to get some entertainment (let's assume FO4 is some kind of entertainment) and got broken product.

Damn, poor guys. Blew sixty bucks on a mess.

Before release I'm afraid that FO4 gonna hoard all the GOTY award. While I don't care about professional reviewers that much, it'll make me salty no doubt considering there are at least three other games (Bloodborne, The Witcher 3, MGSV) that should have their own share of award. But after all this user score mess, I don't think those reviewers can bullshiting their way to give FO4 all the GOTY.
