Lamest Legendary Item?

Guns that do more damage if you are addicted to drugs...

Guns that do radiation damage that hurts Ghouls...

Armor that protects against certain enemies like a gauntlet that protects against Mutants...

Why couldn't they just leave the weapons alone?

They need to hire 100 new people and fire the rest.

"Explosive" weapons also get bonus damage from the explosion perks. This effect adds a flat 15 balistic damage "and" another 15 damage as an explosion so with right perks it's a bonus 60 damage with AoE. I had a minigun with this effect and game simply stopped. An epic mirelurk queen emerges, epic music intensifies even though she was dead before music started.

Explosive weapons and wounding weapons are bugged as hell. Wounding stacks and bypasses defenses so 20 shots from any weapon will kill anything in the game.

Also radiation damage is actualy very good. It stops healing and even though enemies do resist it, 100 damage bonus is huge no matter how high their rad-resistance is. Since ghouls don't understand it radiation weapons kill them faster.

A fish roots from the head down.

Let us be honest, they need to fire only one person really, well maybe 3, and put Obsidian in charge.

I see what you did there.

At the very least, they should explain all these away somehow. The freezing napalm thrower fires nitrogen instead of napalm. The two shot guns have two barrels. Something, anything!

Yeah explaining away an irradiated minigun? There are just some things that a best left to being thrown off the nearest cliff away from civilization.

Bu ... but ... new vegas is a real Fallout game :puppy-dog:

We all know that Fallout doesn't have different ammo types!

But it has armor piercing... receivers... It has receivers that pierce armor... So... you don't shoot ammo but receivers out of your guns...
Haha that was a good laugh.
They also think changing a receiver changes the caliber of ammo it takes. They don't seem to realize that changing the barrel does that unless you plan to rebore the barrel.

I really hope that whoever thought up the gun mods has never touched or studied firearms. The idea that someone who does use firearms made these is inconceivable.

If it didn't allready mean something else, I'd call it "hyperrealism"

It's like when movie-directors keep making people fly through the air when shot with low caliber pistols, or the blood-explosion shoot out of their chest - because audiences are so used to it, that they would deem a more realistic approach to be UNrealistic, and complain

Basically the coconut effect, huh?

So I guess Fallout 4 really did take all this from Elder Scrolls and just flat-out introduced magical armors. Remember the Grey Fox heist in Oblivion that had you use the Boots of Springheel Jak to survive an impossible fall? Well Fallout 4 has you covered because screw internal consistency and lore:

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Freefall_Legs

The best part is you have to use a physics exploit to get it: "To get the Freefall Legs you must exploit the physics engine in a way that allows the player to run into a vertical wall but stay put, this is most easily done in the corners of the room where tiles have fallen off."

Well atleast Bethesda is embracing their exploits and bugs as "features".

Fallout weapons with enchantments ... I can't be the only one who feels that this sounds kinda wrong.

Not that I have a problem with crafting though and improving weapons. Actually I think this is one of the best parts of Fallout. But you can't really say that all of it makes a lot of sense. Like, why should a certain weapon have a chance to freeze enemies, or to damage limbs, shooting plasma bolts or what ever. Has the game at least different forms of amunition for weapons? Like armor pearcing or something like that?

Naaah. It's radiation. Radiation is basically magic, remember? That's why you can have footwear that make lockpicking easier. Because reasons.
You don't get it, dude. It's perfectly logical. You see, this special magic footwear enchantment, handcrafted by some toddlers in rural Falkreath, basically works like an orthopaedic arch support. Soon as you put these aweseome shoes on you suddenly don't get cramps anymore and can kneel or bend forward for as long as you want to. They also come with extra flea-powder, so you dont have to scratch your crotch while picking. And since you're able stand soooo relaxed in front of the lock now it's sooo much easier for you to pick it. It almost unlocks itself now! Shazam!

Coming Up next: Headgear that casts "Unlock, Level 100" if you bash you head against the door. Here's how it works: you basically find a hallway with many locked doors. Now you read a scroll with all the lore-recons beth did for Fallout. The inevitable desire to bash your head against the wall will rise within you. Once your little outrage is over all doors will be unlocked! Congratz!

Seriously though, i managed to find some 10mm pistols and rifles with enchs like bleed, poison, +25% dps /w higher recoil or Ignore 30%DT. Well i dunno how you poison 10mm rounds or why enemies wont bleed anyway when being shot but +25% dps on a combat shotgun is pretty sweet. 30%DT ignore is on sniper-modified combat rifle, pretty much one-hitting enemies from afar with that one, and if i don't it shoots so ridiculously fast semi-auto that 2nd shot pops the head.
There's a lot of whacky stuff flying around though, a poisnous breadroll i can explain after some 200 years, but a staggering rocket launcher? I mean wow, finally those rockets will stagger targets on hit, huh? Before it was like bee-stings to your typical raider but NOW it staggers!!!

It's all very meta dude, i get it's really hard to grasp:P It symbolizes the staggering failure in story, lore and background they've managed to produce. Again very meta, very high-brow shit:P
Seriously though, i truly believe this kind of shit has no place in the fallout franchise apart from when used wisely for really wacky, SCIENCE! stuff (like imagine the euclid finder in NV in a non-shit engine:P) When these stuff becomes as automated, stupidly abundant, asininely irrelevant and plain stupid as this then i'm afraid they either had very shoddy priorities or they are just working out and demoing their ideas for their new MMORPG:P
