Plotting my vengeance, and using my tagged speech skill, convinces the gaurd that Lynette is a controlling neo-fascist leader and that he would be a better leader in her place.

BoS craves for technology Keiser Soze don't need (where you got he hates it ?); as both factions do hate guts the both NCR and Mr House I can't see why aliance can't be forged by 100 speach idolised by both factions Courier Six. It's more likely than BoS working as Higway Police for NCR.

The Brotherhood was never good at anything else than patrolling.

Why so much hate for the Brotherhood? Other than the fact that they're xenophobic technopiles there's nothing wrong with them.

except that they are a rather dieng faction compared to the other ones which actualy managed to spread and get biger. Which is if you pay some attention to the BoS quest the whole core around it.

As I said before other than being xenophobic technopiles there's really nothing wrong with them. They tend to leave other factions alone as long as they don't have high tech equipments around.

You're implying that other factions are any better. The Legion is an army of bloodthirsty slavers, the NCR is imperialistic, bloated and corrupt, and the Enclave is genocidal.

But going back to the original topic of this discussion, a war between the BoS and the Legion would end in disaster for the former. The BoS are more than capable of waging total war but most of their operations have been centered around patrols and direct attacks against a single target. The BoS has difficulty changing to different tactics and strategies, they lack the flexibility that makes the Legion a formidable opponent.

The problem the legion have is their just so fucking tribal. Right now they have the best of both worlds, tribal warriors, with pre war leadership, but when ceasar dies and lianis takes over the'll just become a giant barbarian tribe that will slowly wither away. Thats why ceasar is so desperate to take vegas even though he knows the NCR will die on its own, he needs pure pre war humans if he is to build his rome.

Jokes aside, the Legion does have some hard hitting weapons. Power Fists, Super Sledges, 12.7mm Pistols and SMGs (12.7mm is basically a slightly weaker .50 BMG), and nothing says they wouldn't take the NCR weapons, like the .308 sniper rifles and what not.

Apparently no one has addressed this yet so here goes:

Actually*, 12.7(x108)mm cartridge you seem to be talking about is more powerful than .50 BMG (12.7x99) :revolution: , and the one used in 12.7mm pistol and SMG in game is most definitely not the same cartridge. While the caliber may be the same, the size of the round itself would make it impossible to store more than two in the pistol as depicted in game (one chambered, maybe another in a magazine under the barrel). As the pistol uses a magazine that's stored in the handle it's obvious that we're talking a much smaller cartridge. In all likelihood it's just a pistol cartridge with the same diameter as the rifle cartridge but much smaller in dimension like .50 caliber handgun, only designated in metrics rather than inches.

Also, Lynette (whom I tend to either ignore or SuperStimsassinate in-game).

In 'Birds of a Feather' it was shown that the Legion was interested in buying energy weapons from the Van Graffs. This didn't really work out, but it shows that Caesar had probably already thought about this.

Pure pre-war humans? What?

The only pure pre-war human in NV is Mr. House and he isn't exactly in top physical condition, is he?

The guy can't even write Lanius properly....

I'm talking about NCR and Vegas citizens. He needs civilized citizens if their going to have an economy or technology.

And back to the main topic the Brotherhood would almost certainly win. The Legion depend upon executive leadership as shown in the first battle of hoover damn, the Brotherhood would be even better at taking them out than the NCR. I could see Paladins with stealth boys knocking out centurions left and right leaving the recruits without leadership.

They do have an economy, in fact they have the best economy of any faction in the game. That's why Denarii are worth so much more than bottle caps.

And thee caravans that ally themselves with the Legion basicaly have a safe trip whenever they go. This guy probably didn't even read any dialogue.
I don't remember the BoS making heavy sue of Stealth boys or tactics at all, thye are less and less eevry year, they are trapped in a Bunker, The legion can easily just sabotage their ventilation systems and fill the palce with all sorts of shit, like with Searchlight, having only one way out of your base si also a terrible startegic position, just rig the entrance with mines, and try and not miss the hulking guys in shinny armor when snipping from the mountains that surround Hidden Valley.
