Lonesome Road speculation

In Van Buren the player would find the wreckage of BOMB002 when exploring the Grand Canyon.
I wonder if BOMB002 might have crashed in the Divide, spreading its warheads all over the region.

Yes please.

So according to the Bergman interview, completing Lonesome Road will change the Mojave in some way. As I stated previously, I'm thinking it'll be an ending slide, although anything is possible. Perhaps it'll be a form of weather manipulation?

Weather manipulation seems kinda dumb and more out of OWB. On the other hand, you might get bring Ulysses back or have his influence spread to different factions and help 'em out. Or maybe the events of Lonesome Road might actually get a mention and what not in the Mojave.

I'm guessing it affects something in Primm since A. Primm is where the Mojave express is that hired both the Courier and Ulysses B. The (alleged) entrance to Lonesome Road is near Primm and C. You get a reference to the Divide in Primm from the same guy who hired you and Ulysses.

Also, Ulysses says he wants you to do "one last delivery" or something along those lines to get you to come to the Divide. Maybe you have to stop at the Mojave Express before you head there, thus explaining the closeness of the Divide's entrance to Primm?

What's this alleged entrance to OWB near Primm?

Also, I thought it meant that something would change after completing the DLC. Though stuff changing beforehand is certainly welcome.

also Bergman said his favorite weapons are in Lonesome Road so im excepting good weapons also wondering what creatures are in Lonesome Road im kinda thinking mutated sand crabs :/

Anything but spore carriers, please - they've been overused. More than likely we'll get reskinned Mojave critters like HH and OWB.

yeah spore carriers are annoying i hoping for a new enemy

I was just thinking, I bet LR has an alternative ending just like DM. After all Ullysess has little love for any of the factions in the game and probably plans on using the signature weopon of the divide to wipe the slate clean.

I don't think he plans on killing everybody. He probably wants to destroy the weapons so nobody can use them.

I dought that, especially with the award you get for upgrading divides secret weapon "Rockets’ Red Glare" which is a line in the US national anthem, makes me think that he wants to use whatever is hidden in the divide to recreate America, and sense this is the apocalypse, and sense he hardly strikes me as a pacifist, and sense every fallout game involves someone wanting to wipe the slate clean and start over, it seems unlikely that he has anything in mind save for knocking out both the NCR and the Legion with this weapon.

And there's also an achievement for disarming weapons so what's your point? The "signature weapon" looks to be some kind of rocket launcher or Tesla cannon, not a weapon of mass destruction.

Also why doesn't he strike you as a pacifist? We have absolutely no reason to believe he's a violent person. Hell, his signature weapon is a flagpole for god's sake.

Keep in mind Ulysses isn't the only NPC in Lonesome Road. For all we know, he's working against their interests. As for Ulysses' plan, remember that Mobius states he wants to know "what can create or destroy a nation". War seems like the most obvious answer to this question, but Ulysses appears more complex than that; remember that he could've been Courier Six.

Playing BOS advocate here, but I think that Technology/Atomic weapons can create or destroy a nation.

Sorry if this has been mentioned previously but;

I wonder if Victor did more then just dig you up the fateful day. Maybe he implanted/installed something before bringing you to Doc Mitchell. Something that Ulysses wanted and had Victor fetch and now he's gonna use you coming to him as the delivery.

This is all speculative but the hints of him being a one time frumentaari perhaps gave him the heads up on Benny's scheme.

I say that because the Dev's cant possibly know what each player will have done when enterring LR, and if its linked to the main story the only thing connecting every player of NV is the intro where you get shot/dug up/patched up. I mean if its like the other DLC's it would be technically possible to start a new character and after the intro head straight for the LR entrance (Though you would almost certainly get chewed to bits by every critter there).

I wonder what Lonesome Road's recommended level upon entering will be. Im think 25 because it should be made out to be played last (DM=20,HH=any,OWB=15).
