I'm willing to bet it has to do with the new weapon animations made by Josan12 (and Jotisz?) for some weapons. ...the player will use the new animation codes for those weapons (FN FAL, hunting rifle, scoped hunting rifle, AK-198), but there are no new graphics for the NPCs.

This has been corrected for the next release. Vic and Cassidy can now use the scoped weapons that were modified, and Sulik can now use the wakizashi blade again.
 
Anohter problem here, when i play in dx 9 fullscreen mode performance is very low and image is "tearing". Switching to window mode and stretching resolution to fit native monitor resolution solves the problem. Is there any way to avoid low performance in full screen ?

Ahem. I just got Skynet for the first time... and he can't use a single weapon.

1.Got the Cybernetic brain (Finally! Stupid 120% Science requirement) and put it into the Robobrain body. I didn't take the Sentrybot one because... I felt like I was cheating. Though it'd be cool to have that big Ed-209 wannabe traipsing behind me, I found the thought of using him unsatisfactory, so I took the lesser body, little robobrain.

2. And then he can't do a damn thing but swing his arms at the enemy. I've tried numerous weapons, though I wonder, does this trace back to why Vic/Cassidy were not able to use rifles or anything but pistols and shotguns? Also note, I took the Sentrybot one, and he could use that Robo rocket launcher and the Minigun he comes with. Didn't test him out with any other weapons, though.

Bah humbug.
 
And a bug, In VC if you dont ask the guard if u want enter the vault, you just could simply enter(at false citizenship).

Could someone tell me me the specefication of Marcus armor?

Has nothing to do with Vic or Cassidy. Never seen this before. What weapons did you try to get him to equip?

Also, the deal with Vic and Cassidy only pertained to 5 weapons (and one of those was a melee weapon). It's not nearly as big an issue as you make it out to be.

I don't understand this. If you are not a citizen, the guards are supposed to stop you as soon as you get close to the vault entrance (like 4 or 5 hexes). Are you saying they don't stop you?
 
Lets see, I tried the .44 Magnum, Assault Rifle, the AR-198 (formerly FN-FAL I think), combat shotgun, winchester citysweeper, even the normal 2-shot shotgun, laser pistol... that's about it, I think. I tried the whole gamut of things (including the rocket launcher out of curiousity), and he won't equip a single weapon so far. Not tried the normal Colt or Pipe rifle yet, he does up to 20 damage with his fists so didn't see the point.

Ah, only 5 weapons for the former problem? *Noddles.* glad its fixed, because when they only got automatic shotguns as a stronger alternative to the magnums... reminded me of the times with Ian.

Yay for 300 damage crit hits on me! :P
 
Ok, I'll take a look at the vault guards. However, it has to be an old bug, because I haven't changed anything with them since maybe 2.32.

As for the Robobrain, I don't know what is going on. He should be able to use that shotgun and assault rifle, I think. I know it sounds crazy, but, try using first aid or repair on him. I wonder if he might be crippled.
 
everytime I alt tab out of fallout 2 mm it seems to crash the game and leaves a blank screen on my desktop. I havent messed with ddraw at all

I've never tried doing that before. Just did, and crashed on me too. You'll have to just save your game and exit. If you feel a burning desire to be able to temporarily stop playing this way, remove the ddraw.ini and ddraw.dll files from the game folder. You'll miss out on lots of other things, but at least the alt + tab feature will work. If anything can be done about it, it rests with Timeslip.

And quit playing the game at work... then you won't need that feature! :P
 
I dident see anyone report this bug...so here it is:

Cockroches animations slow down combat really bad its like time loop damn roach is doing same thing several times...
 
Nope, I tried First Aid, Doctor, Repair, Science on the robobrain body just to be thorough, nada. Also, something else strange about him.

In his dialog, where you can always tell an NPC to put away their weapon, that option is always there for him, even though his weapon slot is <None>. The auto-repair initiate also seems to be always on, unless it just doesn't count if he's already at 100% HP. I'm gonna go back, and try putting just the Normal human brain in the robobrain and see if anything alters. (v.v)

Edit: I got him to equip a Combat Shotgun on a second try with him. Also another strange note. After I talk to the Skynet in his mainframe room (the one with the interface that you talk to him with) gives me some strange text. After the first time, when it ends with him telling you to get his cybnetric brain for the body, later on after I got the brain and then try using the computer console again, the text says something about Program download interupted, ERROR, and my only response is "Ug" and thats all that ever shows.
 
So, you're saying the Robobrain is working, and it was just a random glitch? Great.

Also, Skynet is in the Robobrain shell, right? So, there is nothing to talk to in that computer. Yeah, it could be done differently, but that is straight out of the vanilla game.

Yeah. Mentioned on page 2. Then mentioned again on page 4. And I don't know what is causing it.

I know i think...in earlier version they were difreant they mostly run and dident have plasma atacke animation...and everything their move was fine...so its extra content in 2.35.2 that messed something up...
 
Yep, robobrain shell with Skynet in it. *Sigh.* Because other than that combat shotgun so far, he still won't use any rifle-weapon nor any sort of pistol.

Maybe you misunderstood why I asked if Skynet was in the Robobrain shell. It was mostly a rhetorical question. If he is in the shell, then he is not in the computer anymore for you to talk to. That is why you get the very limited dialog option.

If you are trying the FAL, AK-198, hunting rifle, and scoped hunting rifle, I'll say it one last time: until you get the next version, these weapons will not work with anyone except the player character. Nobody else at all. I have already copied/renamed the relevant art files to make those weapons work.

Until then, the Robobrain can only use those weapons with the other rifle and uzi animations. But, this is still odd, as he should be able to use any other shotgun and the assault rifle.
 
Hmm, little miscommunication but not much. I'll reiterate:
the strange dialog shows up After you acquire a brain, but before you actually fix the robot. So, unless he downloads soon as you get the brain from lvl 4, he should still be in his mainframe because you haven't actually Fixed the chassis for him to download into yet. Maybe it just strikes me as odd and it isn't that big of a deal.
 
Ah, ok. Well, I haven't changed this from the vanilla version. But, you are right: You should be able to talk to him unless he has been transferred into the robobrain or sentrybot shells. I'll add another check for this.
