MIB88 MegaMod - opinions, technical issues, etc.

I'm also anxious to get into this newly updated version of the Megamod. I just discovered all this stuff a few days ago and have greatly enjoyed it, especially New Vision. Anyone have any idea what the hold up is? Any possibility of an alternant download location?

This might be a moot point with the arrival of the new version, but I found a bug in update 3 pertaining to the New Vision mod. In Klamath, when I use the rope on the rotten staircase, it still refuses to allow me to descend. There is no "use" icon that appears that would actually let me descend the stairs, only the "look" icon that tells me the stairs can be descended. Does anyone know how to get around this?

Also, will I need to restart the game with the next update?

There's nothing in the upload directory. I don't know if it was uploaded at one time, but I can't find it now.
 
OK, I uploaded update 4 again. Just so you know though, I made a mistake in the update 4 readme file. It cannot be used with any previous updates, not even update 3.
 
How long does it usually take for a mod to be posted once you upload it?

Another question from the New Vision mod: in Klamath, what item is it you must give to the "pretty woman" in Trapper Town to get in good with her? I'm interested in seeing how the bath house quest ends, and I wonder if the areas unavailable to me due to bugs contain the item I need.

The files I have uploaded have taken about a week before they were posted. Just depends on the schedules of the various moderators. I know they have other things to do than hang out on the site all day. :)

As for your questions about the mod, I really dislike answering gameplay question. Technical ones, no problem. So, regarding the ladder in Klamath, I have never been able to get that to work properly...yet. As for Jenny, ok...just a hint. What is required to win her over is not in the unavailable area. Think of real life women. What do they like? Consider that, and see if the kids there can help you out.
 
OK, I just broke it down into 3 parts and uploaded it again. I hope this works. If not, I will e-mail it to someone. Suffer, could you provide me with your address? Or, I will e-mail it to Silencer, since I have his address.
 
Thanks, Wolfsrain, for the idea to send to those websites. However, I would like to have it on this site rather than having to keep uploading it there. So, I recently sent the files to Suffer to put on the site. Should not be too much longer now. I don't know when I will release an update 5. I am currently putting in a lot of the fixes from Killap. From there, I intend to play through the Black Steel mod and see what I can take from that mod.
 
One question, on update 3 i couldn't get lenny no matter what i did, neither i could using new vision mod, do you know why?I even used the cult of personality perk, even used infinite party member mod

And to heodien: Getting Lenny is trickier I think with one of the changes. I think to get him the first time either requires a specific level of charisma, intelligence, or doctor or science skill, despite the cult of personality perk. But, I will look into this to make sure that is the case.

And to Killap: The mcmiria file included in the megamod has a number of fixes and changes, but it has a problem I don't know how to fix. Miria keeps disappearing after you have sex with her. Could you take a look please?

Yeah, I shall take a look and see what I can do.

EDIT: Can you tell me the exact problem? You say she disappears but when exactly after sex does this happen? Does it happen right after the screen fades back and Grisham runs in to see what is going on?

Yes, that is when she disappears. When the screen returns from the fade, Miria is not there. You can still talk to Grisham as though she is there, though. So, if you convince him that you are a doctor, then Miria will stay gone. If you choose the dialog options that lead to marriage, then she does reappear again at the church, but that is the only way to get her back.
 
Hey MIB, in this last game i have 300% in doctor, 300% in first aid and 300% in speech, all of them are tagged, also 10 in all atributes and cult of personality perk, and yet i cant get that bastard
 
MIB88, was that miria bug present in older versions of your update or is this new to update 4?

Really weird, then, because I have him in my party without that. Hmmm. You aren't over your natural party level due to charisma, are you? If so, drop off a few NPC's and then try to get him. I noticed this when getting Skynet. I can get him in my party based only on natural charisma level. (I guess that makes sense for him, though, since a machine might not be susceptible to that perk.)And, not sure yet if it matters, but what is your reputation in Gecko? What dialog options do you even get? Does he even mention wanting to join your "grandsire"?

One more thing to clarify: You said you are using the infinite party member mod too? Is that right?

I am working on including one last batch of Killap's fixes. As soon as I get those in, I will take care of this one.
