Most Hated NPC's

What Victor and yes man are great! Obviously you never got the ending where yes man throws Oliver off of Hoover dam.
You mean the ending where Yes Man fixes himself and throws the player character out of the picture? I looove that one.... :twitch:

Actually, the fixing makes it that he'll only be a sycophant to the Courier and nobody else. The Courier will have even more secured control in the Independent Route.
J.E Sawyer confirms it here: https://archive.is/1SQs5

As for the topic:
  • Lynette is definitely in my list of hated NPCs.
  • Citizen Sergeant Stark is there too for being an asshole in authority who abuses it in petty ways (which makes being Captain of the Guard all the more sweeter to rub it into his face).
  • Jeannie May Crawford is an evil person who deserves to be crucified by the Legion for her actions.
  • Myron is here too for all of his actions, slimy git behaviour included.
  • General Lee Oliver. He's a pompous buffoon who bluffed his way into power and has caused a lot of senseless death to consolidate more power.

Sweet! :aiee:

I always interpreted it wrong, I guess. It always sounded like he was pushing the Courier out. Thanks for the info. That ending felt bittersweet until now.

@RangerBoo Jeannie May...just... what a bitch. Can't believe I forgot about her.

Cachino is another bastard. Getting women hooked on drugs and raping them, not letting them leave the casino and his initial attitude towards the Courier. It sucks you can't persuade Big Sal to take over instead.

Goddamn it! I forgot about Yes Man! I know I am going to get a lot of hate but I hated that obnoxious smiling asshole!:hide: Just the patronizing way he talked, telling you how special you are(barf!) and the fact that he was essential(!) made me want to smash his smiling face into a million bits. That and the fact that robots also give me the creeps may have also have more to do with my hatred of him.

Ulysses. He is a crazy mad man, who hates you for delivering a piece of mail. He doesn't blame the Divide for building their town on a nuclear launch site. He expects you to be omnipotent to some how know that the package you delivered would cause a disaster.

What annoys me the most is that we are supposed to take him seriously. He is hyped up for three DLC, He is the only main antagonist that we can side with and not get a game over.

Could you elaborate? Are you saying that you should get a game over screen if you side with Ulysses? Also, I seem to recall being able to side with Dr. Mobius and get a good ending.

Or did you mean he should have his own game?

You can't side with the Master, Enclave, Elijah or Think Tank(they a had a cut ending where you side with them).

In the decades following the Battle of Hoover Dam, the Big Empty remained a desolate stretch of wasteland, where few travelers dared venture.
{Curious, this is odd...}In time, however, a strange blue field began to grow, slowly spreading across the Big Empty.

Lightning-blue fields of force danced on the horizon, like electrical storms.

People whispered of "floating spheres," flickering like a rainbow of torches in the desert like Old World wisps.

{Cold, curiosity changes to doom}Then communities began to vanish.

Goodsprings was crushed beneath bizarre hexcrete blocks that stacked to the sky. The inhabitants of Primm winked out, flesh-fried into X-ray silhouettes, their arms raised in surrender.

A satellite fell on Jacobstown, beaming a kaleidoscope of bright blue equations into the deranged Nightkin minds, driving some berserk, paralyzing others.

Black Mountain Radio began broadcasting a strange staccato static as hordes of giant man-eating battle Brahmin began to swarm from its peak.

Camp Searchlight became a garden of giant carnivorous plants, and the Colorado river... "shrugged" one day, drowning several communities as its contours adjusted themselves.

The Gomorrah became home to a particularly virulent vegetation-based STD that grew like a fungus within victim's genitalia until their bodies burst open like pods.

The Legion East were systematically brain-scrubbed and rebuilt so that all the inhabitants believed they were in ancient Rome... on the moon.

...and the human cattle of NCR were re-educated into believing they existed in perpetuity in a nation-wide version of someplace called "Tranquility Lane."

In the end, no one was sure who had cracked the Dome of the Big Empty, although it was clear someone had been playing with forces they did not understand.

Throughout all this, the Think Tank was industrious, confident these experiments were all for the best, the results of the data they obtained - incredible.

They marveled that {emph}all of this had been waiting for them to come along and experiment since the war.

{Knowingly}Humanity certainly was persistent, no matter what experiments, nuclear holocaust or otherwise, it inflicted on itself.

I suppose you are right as long as you don't consider Mobius the antagonist of OWB.

Is there something so wrong with having an antagonist that you can side with?

They are the ones that kidnapped you and stole your body parts. They wanted to leave the Big MT and cause havoc. That is why Dr. Mobious wiped their memories and played the part of the villain to keep them from leaving.

Ulysses has the same plan as the other Fallout antagonists, but since he wraps his plan up in high school level philosophic ramblings, he gets a pass for some reason.
