Most hated NPCs, huh?

Well...let's see here..

  • Preston Garvey : "It's pretty obvious why he's hated."
  • James : "Why does the game expect me to care about a guy who abandons his own child, who may also be the last thing he has of his wife, for his work? He's practically the genderbent version of Amata with the occupation as a Father and also has almost the emotion and tone of Preston Garvey,
  • Amata : "A so called friend who is one of the fine pinnacles of badly written characters. Also she's a bitch who pretty much only cares about her obviously terrible father who pretty much is willing to harm her, and even after we rescued her she somehow doesn't see how bad her father actually is....is it me or does Amata have a slight case of Stockholm Syndrome or something?"
  • Eden : "To be honest, he's mainly here because of the idiotic way Bethesda made to make him back down."
  • Roy Phillips : "Hypocrisy at it's best is all I can say tbh."
  • Jeannie May Crawford : "Yep, I hated her for what she did to Boone's (Who is tied with Raul and Arcade as my favorite companions btw) wife and what she technically caused to Boone."
  • Marcy and Jun Long : "I find these two frankly annoying and unbearable to be around. Jun is too depressed and a massive downer to the point where it find it annoying, and Marcy is just a total bitch who still treats us like garbage no matter what we do."

Shit! How could I forget about Roy Phillips? What a hateful, bigoted asshole. The only regret I had when I killed him and his little posse is hearing Three Dog bitch nonstop on the radio about what a terrible person I am for killing the evil, genocidal bigot.

With Fallout 3 in mind, I guess it's time for me to hate on Dave. He was a self-appointed dictator of a huddle of shacks that he had the hubris to proclaim as a sovereign nation. Dave rigged a voting system to always keep him in charge and then called it a democracy. He also dictated a change in law that allowed him to marry a second wife. His arrogance and disrespect to others annoyed me. He was so high on his own inflated ego that he immediately concluded that someone arriving at his door must be an emissary of the wasteland coming to parley. I would love to shoot him in the groin if Fallout 3 had that feature. He's a narcissist, bigot, despot, and misogynist, and I hate all of those characteristics.

Despite it being "bad karma", I would always kill Roy and his followers. Tenpenny Tower is full of one dimensional jerks, but Roy's worse.

Honestly I don't hate Preston. How can I? He doesn't have enough character to hate.

Mama Murphy on the other hand, fuck I can't stand that whole "It's your destiny, I see it!" Fuck off Bethesda, I know there are Psykers in Fallout but they are rare and they cannot see into the future. Besides destiny bullshit doesn't belong in Fallout.

Yeah I know in New Vegas there's the Forecaster, but he doesn't read the future, he more or less picks up on people's thoughts and makes his own thoughts from them.

As for James, he's a sociopath. Blow up Megaton?

Besides this is what I think of when I think of Liam Neeson as a dad.

I sympathized with Dave, really, even as he pretty much embodies a kind of patriarchal asshole who thinks he's a progressive.

1. Myron
2. The Shi
3. Mister Bishop for not wanting me to sleep with his daughter and wife more than once.
4. Roy Phillips
5. Shaun

These don't include my "love to hate" characters.

It is pretty cool, though what you describe is a much more childish version, where the aim is to bang all the gangster relations. I can already imagine the dialogue...
