Well done Packers. That was awesome.

And goddamn the Texans. They have the win with about 40 seconds left and then play the worst defense I've ever seen to allow the Jets to get a TD. That was retarded.

Also, Bungles suck. Yay.

Poor Texans. How many games do they have to lose in the last minute? They looked like they'd sealed the deal only to let it all slip away.

And what the heck happened with the Bengals? It was 28-7 when I last checked, and then I didn't see anything until the game was suddenly a blowout in the opposite direction.

The Pats look good though.

Hoooolyyyyy shit, did we really just shut out the 49ers to go to 7-3? This is awesome. Dominant, dominant game. We even went all Pats on em and got our starting LT a TD catch. First sack for Gerald McCoy (1.5 sacks on the day for him). Great game for a defensive line that looked porous in previous games.

Also, first Bucs shutout since week 13, 2004.

Awesome game.

Troy Smith isn't a Doug-sized midget, dude, he's as big as Drew Brees.
His listed size is a well-known exaggeration. He's actually under 6 feet. Unless he's grown since college, that is.

The Niners aren't looking so hot today though. Another nice game for the Bucs. Those east-coast to west-coast games can be traps.

Unfortunately he's got a reputation in that respect.

Statistically it is literally one of the worst pass defenses in history. Start all QBs and WRs against Houston!

That's the sound of Zygi moving the Vikings to LA and swapping divisions with the Rams.

In the words of Tootie Ramsey, "There's gonna be trou-ble!"

Eh? No he doesn't. He had some problems in college, but nothing drug related.

And the Jaguars are in first place in the AFC South, despite the Pats doing everything they could to throw that game.

Yeah, you're right. He was busted for cheating on a test.

A college football player cheating on a test? Blasphemy!

Anyway, I hope he doesn't get in any more trouble, 'cause he's been rock solid for my team. I get to keep him next year for a late-round pick, too.

And people scoffed at me when I drafted him...

Who's the offensive ROY, I wonder? It's looks like a race between Bradford, Dez Bryant, and Mike Williams. I assume Suh's going to win DROY.

Well done sir. Looks like he's going to be a star for a long time, if off-field issues don't derail his career.

Legarrette Blount might get a mention too with a few more good games. Bradford may get it because QBs are popular, or Dez because he's done well, plays aggressive and plays for the Bowys. Still, I'd love to see Mike Williams win it.

*ahem*

Back to the green and gold for a sec. Did anyone catch that they credited the time where Matthews chased Brent and made him collapse into a puddle of fail a sack? HA! That makes 11 for Matthews this season already. DPOY? God wouldn't that be sweet? Can I buy Capers a trip to my mouth sucking his brain's dick?

Clay Matthews III is definitely the frontrunner for DPoY. Don't really see anyone else worthy of it either.

Also have to thank Rodgers and Jennings for helping me crush DB.

Thank you Seyton Manning, for once again confirming all my worst prejudices against you, you greedy fuck.

Set collision course for Pats/Jets II. Woodhead Bowl. Both teams coming off Thanksgiving Day games with plenty of prep time. Winner probably gets the #1 seed and homefield, the loser a #5 seed that runs through places like Indy, Pitt, Baltimore or San Diego... ugh. Realigned division seeding sucks ass if one of those teams is seeded behind a .500 AFC West winner. Of course, I won't shed any tears if it the Jets, if for no other reason that to not see that jag-off Fireman Ed.

I spy fudge-Packers on the horizon too. Keep that O-line healthy for us will ya? Hopefully Rodgers takes it on the chin better than his predecessor.

I really wish they'd flip-flop MNF and SNF the way it used to be. That was a good game last night, but I was totally burned out at that point to bother. Used to be the SNF was the crappy divisional/regional game, and the MNF was the marquee game.

Would really love to know what Roethlisberger said to Seymour, he is a pretty stoic, righteous dude. Must have been pretty bad for him to lash out like that.

Yeah because going for the win there is so greedy instead of, y'know, completely normal.

Rodgers seems to be enjoying Favre's failure:

It is when you are already in field goal range with the greatest big game, clutch kicker in NFL history warming up. Vinatieri makes gamewinning kicks like that blindfolded during a nor'easter - and you know he'd love to stick it to the Pats.
It's not like Manning forced OT and then lost to a coin flip. He threw a game sealing INT (his 3rd) into coverage. Who's decision was that?

Would you be calling it "going for the win" if Favre threw that pass?

Kicking a field goal forces overtime, which gives you just a 50% of getting the ball first and it's not like you have a great defense that's likely to stop Brady. Peyton looked like he was moving the ball downfield effortlessly at that point. Of course you go for it.

'course, that was a badly thrown ball or miscommunication with the receiver or both. But throwing passes there is (or at least should be) standard. Wanna bet Belichick goes for the win there too?

And yes, if Favre was playing the way Peyton was playing he certainly should've gone for it too.

EDIT: Oh hey, Chilly's just been fired. See ya.

Great, just the move that will turn their season around.

How many millions does it cost to pay him out?

Thanks for your 3rd rounder though!
Good luck in Div. II.

Of course you take a shot, all you have to not do is turn it over - throw it away, take the sack whatever, you don't have to get greedy and throw it into coverage. I guess a privileged career of playing indoors in meaningless games throwing 400yards against expansion teams will tend to inflate your self-worth.

Dude, do you see what playing the Texans can do for Mark Sanchez career? Can someone let me know when the Texans are ready to be taken seriously. Oooo ya broke .500 for the first time last year, marginal relevance is just around the corner in another decade or so!

Don't feel bad for Seyton, he has all those meaningful MVP trophies, and he's where on the 100-GOAT list? Someone call up Tracy Porter and ask him.

The Vikings are going to have rebuild for a long time. Pat Williams is going to be gone, their defensive backs are terrible, their O-line is old and terrible, they have no QB of the future. Adrian Peterson, Jared Allen and Kevin Williams are all well and good, but you can't build a franchise around that.

Hey the throw was bad or miscommunication (he said it was a bad throw later).

That Texans pass defense is horrifyingly terrible. Their setting standards that won't be broken for decades. It's ridiculous. There's no way they should've been capable of losing that game at the end, but somehow they found a way.

Also, Mark Sanchez is still terrible. He's basically playing the same football he was last year, except now he's not throwing interceptions (or they're being dropped). Still inaccurate, won't carry this team. He'd better make a big 3rd-year jump to live up to his draft status.
Or maybe he'll follow Eli Manning's career path.

Man I love Colts-Pats. Always intense, only real consistent rivalry of the decade. Another solid game. Good come-from-behind effort by Peyton, though he ended up falling short.

Watching the Vikes and 49ers get beat down was fun. Holy hell those are some bad teams.

Funny to see my Hawks hang with the Saints in the Superdome. Respectable game, put up the most yardage on the Saints of any team and that ain't garbage time stats. Too bad we couldn't find the endzone or stop the Saints on 3rd downs. Long way to go, but this Hawks team is better than I'd expected before the season.
