NFL 2011

He improved them, or every team with any strength and sense bailed on a dead conference? I have the misfortune of watching a lot of Big East football - Rutgers had one lucky year (see Louisville game) in a piss poor conference. Non-BCS bowl games are like tits on a bull. There are so many now it's ridiculous.
The landscape in the Big East has gotten easier and easier to excel in. I don't think he ever even won a Big East title either, did he?
Guy was good at recruiting FLA kids though. Rutgers were total shit before he got there, but 0 Big East titles in a post-MIami, WV, VaTach, BC Big East?

The bottom line is that the program is in a much, much better state now than when he signed on.

It's all relative. He's a good coach, but recruiting, an ever weakening conf., and cupcake schedules factor heavily into a Rutger's rise that plateaued fairly low, and peaked out years ago. NFC South is a little bit stiffer competition.

Sure. We'll see what happens. Coordinators will be very important in this case.

Dodging the Mike Sherman bullet is a win for Bucs fans.

Looks like Miami's going to be a strong contender for Flynn with the Philbin hire.

The Gronk Effect:

will gronk's health determine who wins the superbowl?

The Manning Effect:

Will Peyton be buying a house in...?

a) seattle
b) sanfrancisco
c) kansas city
d) miami

Nice to see that Brandon Marshall ripped the NFC a new one for the Pro Bowl. I guess he just needed a decent QB throwing to him all along...

....and nobody playing defense.

Haha, pro bowl. I was actually kinda intending to watch this year's but went to bed instead. I have never seen a pro bowl in my life. It sounds awful.

It was. You should go back and watch the second NFC snap, I think. It's hilarious.

I always think I want to watch it, but when it actually rolls around, I'm never that bored. And I actually sit through the Heisman presentation show sometimes.

At least it seems to break up the 2 week SB hype train somewhat. Getting pretty shrill and hard to avoid in these parts. Must avoid call-in sports radio at all costs, going to set my shit to NPR and break off the knob.

I'm a Dolphins fan. I've got to hold on to any shreds of happiness that our players get. Plus, defense playing balls-out or not, 6 rec, 177 yd, 4 TD performances are few and far between.

I heard marshall got edged out for mvp by a tire hanging from a rope.

I'm not sure why the Patriots even showed up, that front 4 is going to rattle Brady, I'm told. Do the Patriots even field an offensive line?

I think this one might turn into a shootout like the Panthers SB at the end. Going to need heavy self-medication to keep me stabilized for this one.

I have no idea what's going to happen. No outcome would surprise me, I think.

Gronk didn't practice today. So. That sucks.

I really have a hard time deciding if I really want to root for either team. Slightly leaning towards the Patriots. Just hoping for a good game, but odds for that aren't too great.

.

well, it's still early in the week and he just came out of the boot.
he'll play, it's just a question of how well, and I'm not too worried about it.
