While I was falling asleep for most of the Seattle / Arizona game, I was impressed on the good that the Seahawks did.
They have a nice draft pick, too. The popular consensus (as much as there is one) seems to be that they'll take Michael Crabtree (provided the Lions don't draft him  ). How would that be for you?

Packers at nine: I'm looking for o-line or d-line.

I only saw a Few TT games, but Crabtree was like a man playing with children. Nice pick. Now he just has to stay healthy - not many WRs can do that in Seattle.

And you know, not many things can fill the void in my heart due to the Patriots absence from the playoffs, but a Colts loss damn sure comes close.
Thank you Darren Sproles.
I'm so tired of Peyton Manning - if the only thing keeping you in the game is mickey mouse picks, chickenshit quick snaps, and all that pre-snap histrionics, then you don't deserve to advance. Expect him to throw his line and/or D under the bus as usual. Looks like the Colts are back to their rich tradition of playoff choking.

Speaking of choking, Tony Romo has done us all the favor by preemptively choking this year. Cowboys...for a team that hasn't won one single playoff game in, what now, like 11 years? they sure do get a lot of media coverage. They crack me up. Jerry Jones runs that team like it's the Jerry Springer show, watch him be the first in line to sign Mike Vick.

I hadn't really been paying too much attention to Peyton during the season, but after looking at his stats there's no way he should've won the MVP this year. There's nothing Manning did that Philip Rivers didn't do better. Overall Aaron Rodgers had slightly better stats than Manning.

Rivers got the shaft more than any other player. He had a fantastic statistical season and brought his team back from oblivion to make the playoffs, then beat the Colts. And he didn't even make the ProBowl.

Manning got it because he's perceived to have won on these games based on his will alone. Yeah, he's that good. Those other 51 guys in Colts unis just had their thumbs up their asses. But really now, when you need late 4th quarter drives to put away sub-.500 teams like Jax, Hou, DETROIT!, then how much of an MVP were you for the other 50 minutes of the game?

That's twice in a row now Rivers has knocked Indy out of the playoffs (that one last year in Indy was impressive, with him getting into with the fans!). And yeah, even if his numbers aren't that gaudy, the kid is a gritty crunch-time QB. Him not making the PB in favor of Favre was foolish and totally based on hype.

Hey Miami may be out, but can we all congratulate Ricky Williams on going the whole year without a cannabis violation? Took him how many years to find out about goldenseal?

Rivers is similar to McNabb in that he's simply not a likeable public persona. Everytime I see Rivers at a press conference he reminds me of that snide guy from Animal House who says to John Belushi, "Don't you have any respect for yourself?"

Not Doug Neidermeyer, but the other guy.

BTW, the Minnesota sports media has been floating the idea of the Vikings trading for Matt Hasselbeck. They think they need a good QB immediately (while Peterson is in his prime), and can't wait around to develop one. Consider this a completely unfounded rumor.

Yeah, the one that enjoys spanking other dudes way too much.

Rivers is a bona fide prick, he comes off as more arrogant redneck to me with that accent though. Can't say I like his act too much, and he plays kind of ugly, but he does pretty well in big spots, unlike Manning who always chokes against them. Didn't he have a 6 pick game against them last year?

Good games this weekend. Philly/NY should be tight. Arizona's only chance is if Boldin plays, and they're lucky they haven't played in any cold/snow yet, that's their Kryptonite.
I'm still not convinced Tenn or Pitt is all that, but stout D and power running are a recipe for post-season success. Besides SD is beat up and Baltimore is so one dimensional.

Giants/Panthers and Tenn/Pitt would make for awesome championship games, they match up so well.
I'd like to see the Ravens make a run though, there's something special about how that D carries the team.

Yeah, there are definitely some nice combinations that would make for a good Super Bowl this year. I wonder if any of the cinderellas can sneak in.

If I had my choice I'd like to see Arizona defeat San Diego in overtime because Kurt Warner ran one in from the 11 on 4th and goal.

My upset playoff predictions:

Cards over the Panthers
Eagles over the Giants

Ravens over Titans
Steelers over Chargers

Cards over Eagles
Ravens over Steelers

Cards over Ravens

Cards Super Bowl camps baby!

Can you tell that I've lived in AZ for 11 years? This is the only possible way that the Cards can win the SB. I really doubt the Cards can beat the Giants.

Nice job getting all of them if it turns out that way, though. You should've put all your money on it!

I'm officially on the Cards playoff bandwagon. 8-)

No shit Prez, can you make you picks earlier next time so we can get them into the bookie?

I'm liking this wildcard-heavy action. They are all seriously flawed teams but have been playing out of their asses lately.

They're going to need stretchers for that Pitt/Baltimore game. Those two defenses can hit.

Almost there. Tell me you will not shit your pants if I'm right....

Sir, I most surly will defecate in my drawers if the Cardinals wind up in the big one.

That Philly game was teh pwnage.

I find myself really hoping Arizona wins.

Arizona in the Superbowl? Are you kidding? That would clinch Kurt Warner a spot in the Hall of Fame.

Go underdog Cards!

Me and some of my friends tried to get tickets for the game after the Eagles won - but the website was flooded with people. I heard they sold out in like 6 minutes. We might go over and try to get them from scalpers after the game starts.

Go CARDS!

Hah, Cards are tearing shit up. It might be time for people to start respecting them.

Man...

Cards in the Superbowl

It sounds so unreal. But it's about to happen.

I like it.

Mostly for all the guys on the Cards D who've never gotten the amount of press coverage they deserve.

Adrian Wilson
Karlos Dansby
Hayes
Dockett
Berry

Dude, tell me about it. I've been a Cards fan for almost a decade and I'm just kind of in shock. I didn't know if it would ever happen in my lifetime....

huh. never knew there were Cards fans. 'specially with all that damn name-changin'.

anyway, that was a helluva game, there. i really wanted to see McNabb get it though.

EDIT: fuck, i can't figure out if i give a shit about either the Ravens or Steelers. the urge to turn it off and put Bioshock back on is one i'm struggling with.
