Just from this short gameplay video I can tell it is 500 times more RPG than Fallout 4, it also has better HUD, better character's looks and dialogue and rewards the player for it's build.
No romance/sex. Yep, that's what I thought as well. Another -1 pts for the game.

I haven't seen any RPG where that was made properly and didn't make me cringe. Usually makes me play solo, games with romances, because they are so badly made and represented. I doubt Obsidian would be able to make a worthwhile romance in their games...

EDIT: Norzan already said pretty much what I think about Romances in games.

Great reply as to why sex scenes are needed in modern RPGs. I am totally on your side now, damn Obsidian for not making me a virtual girlfriend.
When you ask that question, it clearly shows that you've already made up your mind about it, so you don't need a lengthy answer, and I'm not under any obligation to convince you otherwise.

It's pathetic when your reference for comparison is a lame ass game like Fallout 4. Suddenly, all standard RPG features become a plus.

Looks pretty sweet of you ask me.
I assume it will have DLCs, so I will wait for a Complete Edition or something akin to it, but so far I am satisfied.

I mean if you can provide some examples of games that have handled romance in good way and is not The Witcher I am all ears.

I might do the same as well, just wait for a complete edition. My crappy laptop probably can't run this game, at least run it with a smooth framerate, so by then i might have a much better laptop.

I'm cautiously optimistic for this game, like i am for everything that looks interesting. This way i don't hype myself up and face possible disappointment.

Everything looks really promising, and the HUD is nice, uncluttered but without being sterile or so simplistic that it stops being useful, confirmation of there being no romances is a +10 too.

I'm okay with Mass Effect kinda romance. Funny thing is while people complain about the lack of "good romance" in games, they have no problem getting hyped up about a game literally made for teenagers.

Which game is literally made for teenagers? This ode to Fallout 1 that came out in 1997?

I want to see the stats and skills. Hope they reveal those soon. From this I see "Intimidate" and "Lie" are 2 skills and there is an Intelligence STAT because they were able to use Dumb dialogue options.

This one obviously. Fallout 1 wasn't any different either.

Fallout 1 was a game made by young people for young people, this is a game made for the fans of Fallout, ergo this one is not "literally made for teenagers".

Planescape Torment. Annah will always hold a dear place in my heart <3
Romance if handled correctly can really make a game substantially better. I'm ashamed to admit that I really fell in love with Annah. Her character was so developed that she made me forget that she wasn't real.
That's about the only experience I had with romance in a roleplaying game, aside from the occasional trips to the strip clubs (I even remember fucking a sheep once), but that doesn't count.

Same here, if they go in the direction of NV and give us three to four solid story-driven DLC, I'll be ecstatic. They tend to make DLC in the form of old school add-ons--nice and meaty.

As for the game not being everything I'd hope for, oh well. I just want something fun and solid. If the combat and/or graphics don't totally gel, but the story and RPG elements do, hurray.

As for judging or "predicting" what this game will be is foolish as of right now. Speculation is fine, but we're not going to truly know until reviews and personal accounts from people we know and trust get released. I'm willing to wait and see. If it's good, I'm gonna play the fuck out of it like I did NV.

Fixed a typo: Battling a cold.

AHAHAHA! Delusions are the spice of life, ain't it. And no, Fallout wasn't made by teenagers.

I never said it was, the dev team was in their 20s and so was their audience.
Since when people in their 20s are teenagers? IIRC Fallout's age rating was PEGI 16, mostly due to violence and gore naturally.

Maybe it's time for you to explain why you think this game is made for adults.

Why are you so hung up on teenagers? I said "young people". Do you have brain damage or something?
Fallout 1 was rated "Mature", that's 17+. So was Fallout 2.

Maybe you have some brain damage because you are the one who claim that this game (TOW) "wasn't made for teenagers".
Fallout is PEGI 12, if you remove violence and gore from the game (and drugs).

Maybe it's time for you to explain why you think this game is made for adults.

combat looks like a huuuge improvement from new vegas but sadly rpg mechanics really don't translate well into the first-person perspective. i mean for example how he shot that sniper right in the head with a revolver (9:40) and the guy just shrugged it off. i don't know if that's just me but it really bothers me in first-person rpgs
I have yet to watch the gameplay video but this worries me. It's exactly what I think is wrong with first person RPGs. The first person perspective means you as a player first need to have the skill to aim at an opponent, but then it's down to your character sheet to decide if (and even where) you hit. It mixes both real world and game world skill. I've never seen an enjoyable implementation of this.

Guess I'll have to watch the video and see if it's the case.
