OCC- First Mission

Look, this is cooperative story telling. If this was a "lets sit around the table, drink beer and do pen and paper like a bunch of fucking geeks" than it would be easier to do and control.

Doesn't work that way.

People write this stuff like it's a story or a novel or an epic. But like having too many cooks in the kitchen fucks up the meal, well, that kind of crap is bound to happen. At the same time, this is just fucking around, so if things get a bit bent, they get bent. It's part of the challenge to work around it.

So there is the awful exchange- between a writer that has too much control and a writer that doesn't have enough. This seems to be the most free-ranging of the roleplays active at the moment, while Kilrick is the most restrictive. Which ever way you go, there are consequences.

I actually think that the way this is set up is working out very well. If we need to make edits, though, the final word of this should go to albatross as he's the main manager.

Yeah, I get your point, but the thing is, we were encouraged to write, and move the story forward, wich we did. Then suddenly, all of our posts are ignored and the story just changeslike that *flips fingers*

dudes, pipe down

Alba is still the appointed DM for this little RP (welsh & zoe check from time to time of course). he has authority on this matter. things sometimes dont go as planned, deal with it.

if it really bothers you guys you can do a little "remembering what happened the past 2 days" in your posts, the rest of us will start to get ready for the assignment, ok?

i'll post leaving town in about an hour or so...

a, okay, I give in, Ive removed the posts that dont fit in and made a new one...still, I think that was just a rude abuse of power.

I gotta agree with Kahgan.

Alba, yes your GM, but try to read the fucking story before making large changes to it.

Well I'm back from Denmark! 8)
I'll soon be posting up a new character for first mission.
Ahhh....it's good to be back! :)

Okay first of all I already have a plan to bring your NPC back into the picture suAcide so don’t sorry too much about that. I would like it if you guys just adjusted your posts. Everyone would probably have a radio and was called back to the main BOS outpost. I think that is the best way to explain the discrepancies between the posts. My thing was that I was personal unsure where you guys were taking the story so I just posted something to move it along in a general direction. If you guys have questions or concerns PM me, I do listen and will try to the best of my ability to address issue as they arise. I have also given Welsh and Zoe a basic outline of my story plan for the moment so they can also address problems with you guys have issues with me.

As for restrictions at the current moment, the only one is that everyone stays in there assigned squads for the moment unless directed otherwise.

This note is to people coming in at this moment or, coming back, so mainly Mel. My suggestion on the best way to come back is to just have your character ask the Main BOS force sub commander permission to join the scout party and meet up with one of the groups, preferable not SuAcide/Miles/Thorgrimm’s group because the adding of the NPCs of suAside’s will take the group size to maximum I would like it to go, 5 members.

I would also like to stress that these group arrangements are not permanent and can and probably will change.

Okay Alba, I've understood!
I'll probably be posting up my character tomorrow.
Now I'm going to bed! :tired:

History:
Greg was born into a rich farming family. He grew up with trading and animals. On this ranch his mom and dad lived but also his uncle and aunt lived there. When he turned 5 years of age, Greg had never seen a gun, and that was the first time he joined his father for a caravan trip to the gunrunners in L.A. Boneyard. It was a dangerous route but they had never been attacked before.

His family often traded with the gunrunners and the other merchants in L.A. But they especially traded much with the gunrunners since Gregs dad and th gunrunners leader, Gabriel, were old buddies.

When he was 15 years of age he went on another caravan to the gunrunners with his dad and uncle. This time his dad had a surprise for him. He was going to get 5 years long weapon and survivalist training, and Gabriel was going to train him personally. And his dad payed the whole price for it.

After his training he went back home to the ranch and lived there for several years. When he was 26 he, his dad and his uncle went on another caravan to L.A. They were ambushed by mutants, Greg watched both his dad and uncle being ripped to shreds by the mutants, before he ran away like a coward. Greg never forgave himself for that.

EDIT: My apologies for the NCR thing. I will not post characters while I'm tired in the future!

gunfreak nitpick:
you might wanna change your weapon to L85A2 or L85A1. the model named in FO2 (Enfield XL70E3) that you want to use is actually a much uglier prototype. (which was plagued by many errors that made it a pretty bad fucking gun to have in a combatsituation. even the revised L85A2, which is currently used by the UK military isnt entirely satisfactory). the picture used in FO2 is in fact an L85A1 i think.

Actually all L85 models are pretty craptastic, They jam if it goes +/- room temperature usually.

Need better gun oil.

I'll be going away for a week(holiday)...would you mind popping in some dialouge now and then for Kahgan, Pyrophoenix?

*grabs Melcys shotgun and runs like hell*

jahahaha!!

might have understated a bit, but maybe there are some UK gunfreaks amoungst us that i didnt wanna piss off :P

Who am I to insult though, We still use a 30 year old design that while it works...could use some "work"

most brits i know prefered the old Enfield 7.62mm rifle (cant remmeber the name) that was based on the Fn fal over the L85
