maybe true but heroes are rare, if all RPers start off with heroes we are going to have a wasteland full of them

i see mutants more as 2 times as strong as human beings but slower (bruiser style but worse), but hey thats just a personal view

as for the maggotbashing, bring it on and scorpio will bash right back :p

Also there are probably multiple Mutant forces moving around. One force is retreating from the HUb. It might not be Corr's group going to Arizona and Nevada.
 
yeah i gathered as much

Corr's group splitted up from the 2 mutants that followed thorgrimm for a reason ;)
 
Actually Corr is just one commander. There are others. Corr's mission is simple- to find weapons from some of the bases in Nevada and Arizona, and bring them back. Take prisoners for dipping if possible.

The mutants who are running from the Hub are basically retreating back towards Mexico. A different company. The retreaters have been defeated, but Corr's mutants are still very proud and strong.
 
All we going to take FO tactics into account timeline wise, regarding the muties that flee, or just not involve any of it at all.

a little general comment here

as told in the story, the BoS used snipers on the roofs to snipe at mutants 20 tot 50 meters away. in real life snipers are used for targets from 500-750 (light sniperrifles such as an M40) to 1500m (heavy snipers such as .50 Barretts) away.

to kill things at 50 meters you use assault rifles and support guns, even pistols are effective and accurate at that range

(assaultrifles can be used up to 500 or 1000m depending on the model and calibre)

-> all fighting done in the fallout games would be considered CQB

sorry for the nitpicking, i dont mean anything by it but you might wanna keep that in account when we engage other mutants ^^
 
Thanks for the input SuAside. I am not too keen on modern weapons distances of fire. I will keep that in mind for the future and do a little research as well.
 
the AK47 or G3A3 (dont remember wich) is acurate at 300 metres distance...but lets just say that this was to lure them into town, shall we :D

ive read in a well respected science magazine that there are certain sniper rifles(with an extremely good shooter) that is accurate at 3000 metres....but that would recuire *extremely* good shooters, like 300% on small guns and 10 on perception.
 
Just a note- one has to be careful about killing mutants. If all we do is kill mutants and they don't kill any of us, it will get kind of boring.

Players, remember, if your character gets killed, you can always come back as a new character.
 
Yeah i'm going on a vacation soon, so maybe Chua gets killed, but I will come back as another character after my vacation!
 
Albatross, a Barrett .50 BMG sniper rifle has a max effective range of 2200 meters.
So i do agree with SuAside, in Fallout the ranges are way too short. Hell at 100 meters or less a sniper could NOT miss! it would just too friggin easy! :)
