Thank you vewy vewy vewy much. :)

BTW, I'm not sure if you have fixes this problem but... In Gecko Lenny has a Zip Gun right? Does it use 9mm or 10mm ammo? If I remember right, it was loaded with 9mm ammo, BUT I could only load it withb 10mm ammo. After I noticed this I just stopped playing and have been waiting for you to finish the 1.06 patch.

And one other thingy. Is this patch of yours compatible with all the versions of Fallout 2? I mean the US and UK versions? And do I have to patch the game to 1.02 (I mean the newest "official" patch) before installing your patch?

If I recall right, you just replace the 1.02 patch with the new one, it will work.

If you havent patched yet, then you just put the 1.06 patch in.

Welcome Back!

I feared you got lost in the meantime (and the patch would never arrive ....)

Well, will the new version be still compatible with the Miria-Mod?

So, finally, I will get my JonaMod 1.00 finished soon ;-))))

Greetings
Jona

Hello.
I've recently discovered Fallout after buying the Ultimate collection and am currently playing through Fallout (just got the water chip). I was just wondering if it was worth installing the patch and also, what other mods would you guys recommend, bearing in mind that I haven't played Fallout 2 yet. Thanks. :D

You should apply the 1.06 patch for Fallout 2 once Celestial releases it. The team added some content that the F2 team cut from the game because of time constraints. Also, they have done some troubleshooting to solve some of the problems that Interplay promised long ago to address in a mythical third patch that they kept hanging in front of our noses for a long time.

First let me say the things done in this patch are impressive  :) . This is the first time I post in NMA forum and your thread was the reason I registered. 8)
A few suggestions:
-FN 90 could use 4.7mm ammo instead 5.7mm, it would save time. And its pic be replaced with the one from F:Tactics.
-Vindicators mag could be expanded, because 4.7mm is lighter and smaller.
-ammo balance, some ammos should stay what they are or change hunting rifle so it would use 7.62 ammo.(basically force player using 7.62 more)
-maybe add Stayer AUG or make the appearance of the rare assault rifle more common.

A question what gun uses .45 cal ammo? also if I remember Hubologists had a money cache, but I never found it.

Btw BG2 has a similar project called
http://home.houston.rr.com/icelus/ub/readme_ub.html
I think BG2 modders are more familiar with scripting(mostly when writing romances for NPC's) so maybe they might lend a had most of them being Fallout fans.

PS. Is there similar forum for Fallout Tactics.

The Tompson Submachine gun uses the .45 in FO2

The money cache was referd to in their computers, but never added into the game due to Iply rushing the release.

Maybe a wee bit off topic but...

In Broken Hills I noticed that there three footlockers in the north end of the 1st map. And there was no way to get there. Are they still there in 1.06 and could someone explain why they were placed there in the 1st place?

They serve as inventory to the shopkeepers. I think they are just misplaced and were not intended to be seen by players in the first place.

IIRC there is a trick which allows you to get there, but the developers never intended that to be possible.

I think the Fallout Bible had an article on that once.
