Fun fact - the design doc of Nevada has the description of a quest about transporting drugs "in the brahmin". It was cut by Blackdesigner, the reason being "too silly".

As you can see, sticking a dynamite into a cow instead is quite okay.

How do you deal with the forcefield on the second level of the administration building? I've cancelled the security measures but the forcefield is still intact.

My repair skill of 32 appears to
be too low. I'm using the plier on it.

NEVER GETS OLD WHEN SOMETHING BLOWS UP
Quote of a random Powder Gangers in NV, when I see that kind of post I know Alphons is a true fan of Fallout. Something else that I find funny is when Powder Ganger members said "Man, running low on smokes again" and there's a pack of cigarettes next to him ...

The two guys Big Louis sent as my escorts to Hawthorne just disappeared. When I arrived back at the bandits camp and talked to the boss I had to say his guys didn't make it. Even though they did, but disappeared for some reason. I looked everywhere for them in Hawthorne but they where nowhere to be found. It happened after I told them to wait while I snuck past the mines.

I didn't get any xp for delivering the news to Big Louis about Hawthorne. Is that how it's supposed to be?

e: I love my new gun btw!

I did that quest correctly only once, but after you clear out the base they hang out near the container laying next to the hole in the fence (at the warehouses).

That's weird, don't rightly know if there's an issue in your quest development, I did the quest without any trouble, but like Alphons said the 2 guys are hanging behind a destroyed building of some sort south to the fence, you need to speak to them (after all defenses are shut down) so they can return to the Raider's base in Lovelock and get your reward from Big Louie. Let us know how it turns out for you after that. (Of course, you need to deactivate the turrets, and don't forget to go to the north I think you need to deactivate those turrets too, tips ... you'll find an entrance north-east next to some crate/box piled up, inside you encounter a robot, I'm sure you'll figure how to deal with him :)
By the way, hold onto your Awarded 10mm pistol, someone later will be interested in buying it, included the uniform you find in a locker (if you do a certain quest for a chemist in Reno you'll get a better 10mm pistol, so win-win, just saying).

Found them! That was an odd place for them to hang out I think. If I hadn't been told by you guys I wouldn't have solved it. I would change their location and have them hang around some place where you are more likely to bump in to them.

I did it in the wrong order. I snuck past the robot and deactivated the reactor. So I couldn't electrocute it, I had to fight it in the dark with my new pistol. It wasn't that hard to kill though and you get 500xp.

If you want to do it in the correct order then deal with the robot before deactivating the reactor. That way you can either electrocute it (I guess) or fight it with lights on, giving you a better chance to hit.

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!

Glad to finally be able to help someone else (I know it can be frustrating when stuck in a quest sometimes ...), I have a question regarding Energy Weapons, is it worth spending the "Tag!" perk on it because I've reached level 15 and I'm at 65% in EW and I wait to reach 100% before taking Tag! perk, or there's not even a decent EW later? (I'm currently in Wind of War, next stop I return to NPP Poseidon to finalize some looting and will return to Wind of War to do some quests there (I didn't take any quest there). After taking the perk it's a matter of spending between Repair, Science, and a bit of Speech (I always raise Speech to almost 100% early game).

There's a second military base with a powerful Energy Weapon inside.

There're also 2 Police Laser Pistols (18-35 damage, 5/6 AP cost) in Vegas- 1 in LV PD and 1 used by Neon Gangster (random encounter around Vegas).

Ok, so no Plasma Rifle or Laser Rifle?

There're, but I don't remember finding any outside of shops. Merchant near the entrance to Vegas sells them, but only if you convince him to show you his special stock with Barter (I think 90 or 100).

I've found the Police Laser Pistol during the random encounter near Vegas, I finally got my hands on a good Energy Weapons, reached level 16. Next level I'll use the Tag! perk and will have more than enough skill points in EW. When I get the Power Armor, I will be a living cleanser of the Wasteland.

@Keyboard Gecko Do you have some more interesting stuff about Nevada like cut content/ scrapped ideas etc?
I think I remember seeing a video about the cut Mormon Temple, that can still be accessed with cheats.

I find stuff like that really interesting.

Oh man, you mean, EXCEPT that stuff I mentioned all over the second half of that 50-minute video I made? Okay, let's see

There was supposed to be a place called "Ely" a religious community with a priest woman in charge and with a weather-changing device to repair.
West Wendover is another cut location - a seasonal hunting/fishing village near Salt Lake, which is VERY well-documented in the design docs. Its distinctive feature would be a ring for melee fights with Bo sticks (I think they called that). That would make it the only ring in the classic Fallout series where fighting would be done with weapons. There's a guy in New Reno mentioning the place, if I recall correctly.
The mormons would play a much more significant role in SLC, yes, but not many details about that are known. Only that Temple map draft's left, and some graffiti around Salt Lake.

I really, really suggest to check out Fallout Nevada Bible using DeepL translator. A very fascinating read - plans, photos, lore, development history and loads of info on cut content.

The best silliest parts have still made it into previous Nevada version, 0.99b. I mean, nothing beats a prank call to vault 15.

Here's another example of that:
There's a caravan stop in vegas. Two caravaneers are arguing about something, a Brahmin stands nearby. You come around and they tell you that this Brahmin lays a golden egg every hour or so. You can call them on their bullshit - or you can actually spend some time observing Brahmin's ass, waiting for it to happen.
And guess what,
no golden eggs for you! But if you do that, every time you come around any caravaneer, you'll hear a remark in the lines of "Yo look, that's the guy who likes to stare at Brahmin asses, huehuehue", this shit is hilarious

Thanks a lot! I watched your video, but I didn't recall you talking about stuffing drugs up brahmin's ass, so I figured that there's more where that came from.
