Red Dead Redemption

Mildly Dipped
Alright, I'm extremely friggin' hyped up the shit about this game. I'm counting down the days until its release. I personally love the whole western style, and Red Dead Revolver might be one of my favorite PS2 games. Also it's coming out on May 17th, which is my birthday.

Looks awesome.

Quite the pity its not (apparently?) coming for the pc, looks pretty cool, and i have been anticipating it for some time now for the ps3. Damn i wish my ps3 would have held together little longer.

Doesn't every major R* game comes to the pc eventually?

Red Dead Revolver never did.

It sucks, but if they don't want me as a costumer, eh.

Are they using Morricone again, by the way?

I like the setting but am afraid that this is yet another GTA III - type, consoly POS. Haven't played GTA IV and not really that interested in it.

Would like to see a western game that would have free roaming, large world, high realism, chance to be evil, etc. More like a western simulator I guess. Emphasis could be on the battle and survival. Could play as good guy (sheriff), bad guy (bank robber, killer), native american (different tribes), military, etc. with authentic weapons from the time well modeled and good sounds, good music etc.

from what I've seen, you can definitely be evil in this game and it's a large world where you can roam free. dunno about the level or realism.

what makes me even more psyched about this game is that I've never actually played a GTA game, so while I kinda know how the gameplay is I'm definitely not sick of it by now and RDD will likely be a completely new experience to me.

Still completely impressed by the visual quality.
Oh, how I would love to play a decent game with a immersive story in such a world.

That's probably the best way to play this game, not knowing anything about the GTA's.

Not that GTA III was bad, just that it was very very arcade-like in a way that took the realism out of it completely and made it a bad game IMO. They did a lot of work creating a great looking world and then put in these very monotonous missions, it just went meh quick.

I've played a ton of GTA games and never got sick of them. It's a fun gameplay style for me, and the realism break never bothers me because the games aren't all that serious really.

And surprisingly, it's been a long, long time since I've so anticipated a game like I'm anticipating this one.

That gameplay video does look pretty good. I gotta say i quite liked gta4 to be honest. It had its share of problems but it added pretty much what i longed. New graphics, better physics and new content. Friend system was, well not so great. I chose to ignore it.

But to stay on topic.... Red dead revolver had Morricones music ? That is mighty fine.
