Rooting for the bad guy

Most people think murder and destruction are wrong, Vergil. :)

Edward II got a really shit deal in history. His homosexual lover may have not been murdered in RL but he did end up getting murdered in a hate crime against gays.

I don't know if this one counts as I never wanted him to win but... Negan from TWD comics always managed to be charismatic and likable to me. Regardless of how many of my favorite characters he sadistically murdered or how big of a dick he was he still remained among the characters that I would hate to see dead.

Tyranids

I so want them to consume the galaxy and every single living thing in its path, simply because they are doing it for teh lulz.

For the lulz? No, just because they need biomass to grow. It's just their instinct.

Orkz do it for the lulz.

I know, I wrote that for teh lulz.
The reason why I like 'nids is that their real motive is unknown. Harvesting biomass is a mean to an unknown end. Where they come from and why are they actually doing what they are doing is beyond anyone's scope, and they're tough enough to fuck up Imperium, Chaos forces, Orks and whatever else there is in the galaxy.
Besides, there is no reasoning with them. They cannot be communicated with nor properly understood. They are just what they are, the Great Devourer.
The horrifying simplicy of their known nature, combined with the fact that humans can never understand them, is what makes Tyranids my favorite race.

But you can communicate with them, the same way the hive mind works.

Powerful psykers can even take control of them, tell them what to do, if their connection to the hive mind has been severed first. I believe Bile even succeeded in controling one of the more powerful psychic tyranids and used it to hide his base from the other tyranids on the planet as it kept telling the other tyranids "nothing to see here, stay out".

But you cannot reason with them, you cannot negotiate peace. Granted, you cannot do that with pretty much any other race in the galaxy. Nonetheless, you have a point.

And Tyranids are Xenomorph fanboys.

Thank you Crni Vuk.
That scene made me want to see Braveheart, despite all the bad things i've read about it.
It's super shitty when it comes to history, because pretty much everything is wrong, but it sure is entertaining cinema. Just think about it as fiction inspired by historic events.

Master and Commander, is a great historic movie.

Communication was what we spoke about, not negotiation or debate. So you can communicate with them, but it's kinda useless unless you can surgically or with psyker energies alter them to lose connection with the hive mind (or hive mind proxies).

I'm getting old. I had to google pretty much everything mentioned in this thread to know what and who the hell you guys are talking about.

Also, black officers and black stormtroopers. Hmmm... makes you think.

Not to forget we rarely see the faces of the stormtroopers, and as they're specially trained soldiers... not clones, so they could be a plethora of yellow, black, white, blue, red and whatever colours Humans are. This makes the article pretty bullshit, and ignores the fact that the Empire are only racist to Aliens.
