Say something positive about the USA

Yea, neat! Gee golly gosh it sure is so darn nice and dandy!

One might almost say it's downright impressive.

Really wish the US government would stop pussyfooting around with diplomacy and "lol we're here for human rights I swear" bullshit and just organize into a proper empire.

Kinda tired of seeing the same old scenario play out over and over.

It would be cool if just one time we were actually fighting to liberate an oppressed people. Just once.

It's a technological/economical stroke of genius - smart bombs, we'll shove unimaginable technology into a large, several tonne piece of engineering, just filled to the brim with all this brilliant technology, and it will self destruct as a direct result of its usage. Now you gotta buy another one, or rather, 12 000 more, depending on your tenacity

Reminds me, that there is this really old short movie, called Dark Star, about a an intelligent warehead which wanted to self destruct it self. To avoid it, the crew talked to the bomb with the intention to develope self-awareness so it would shut down the self destruction. After the bomb did that, it went in to an existential crysis and comitted suicide by detonating it self.

Short movie? Dark Star is a normal feature length film.
John Carpenter's first, too.

This is the police. Stay at your computer. I repeat. Stay at your computer.

Please let the children go. We brought Grand Wizard Jeb Zazario of the KKK to talk to you.

"But hes from holland"

I guess this guy doesnt like holland. Or the US.

Sounds like a big fat communist to me.

Or a fuckin nazi.

I’d rather die horribly of any one of those or dysentery than continue living as a number to the government.
I mean, when you're talking millions of people, you're always just a number to the government. I'd suspect that if we had the access to information and other people at our fingertips then like we do now, we would have felt similarly long ago.

I understand your sentiment but they didn't have AIM, Facebook, forums, Youtube, Twitter, blog posts, etc. All available in the common household of America. Now conveniently available in pocket-size! We call it a smart phone. People get to discuss ideas from across the world like they were beside each other. Hell, news channels are usually slow compared to social media. Tsunami in Japan? Photo snapped, captioned on Twitter and it's global in less than a few minutes.

Depends, maybe the US made Van Damme into Van Damme. Which means that's the United States superpower. It turns Belgians into muscle monsters.
