YES! FUCK YES! :drunk:

I was just talking about how a new Shadowrun game needed to be made. The lame ass FPS did not count. Now my dreams have come true. Here are a few more emoticons to express how I feel right now:

:obsessed: :notworthy: :ok: :lalala:

You mean this? The gaming gods are showing their wrath through kickstarter! :D

Also:

thats great. Though I think they should better make at least 1 Million, that is if they really want to do some "quality" work here. Take wasteland 2 as example. 400 000 is really below the limit.

This is awesome, I've asked Kickstarter if they'd be willing to let me know the the number of people that kicked in to both Shadowrun and Wasteland 2 when both expire, it would be interesting to see the crossover.

Yes 400k seem really cheap but i think in term of graphic/animation it will be much more basic like the games the studio are use to make for iphones.
And no voice acting at all, much smaller scope (no sandbox with huge world). Not a bad thing because we will have a level editor.
Simply put : if it's like the SNES games with a bit more dialogues option and turn based mechanic but same lenght/limited gameworld it will be great IMHO.
Wasteland 2 seems to be much more ambitious.

Heh, same time as it's announced Catalyst are doing the 2050 setting (or first edition) with 4th edition rules so everything is going retro. :P

Win, this game is win!

Fixed it for you :3

haha yeah that fits better.

Though I really hope they will use at least a decent engine for the game. I mean I dont have a problem with the way how it was done on the Nintendo back then. But still. If they can get a cheap decent looking engine. Why not?

Although i am a great fan of the shadowrun franchise i'm still somewhat sceptical.
It looks like Jordan wants to introduce the game to new gamers and it's going to be developed for mobiles. Does this mean it's dumb down? Would be good to know if this is a tactical-combat adventure game, or a RPG. If it's basically a snes version with TB combat i think im gonna pass up. Then WL2 seems like the real deal, and only deal really.

Whatever happens the game will be at least decent. I donated without blinking an eye. They raised almost 2mil. That will make for some good looking turn-based RPG. YAY :D

So yeah, this looks awesome.

It does look amazing. I almost felt nostalgic when they started playing, and I barely played the original game. I think it was more that it reminded me of Fallout and other classics.

LOVING the hand-painted environment.
