Sony has censored Japanese developers for fan service and cheesecake saying that it objectives women. They did this with Devil May Cry 5, Persona 5 and many other Japanese games. Some of their games are also in limbo because of Sony's policies. Yet Abby getting railed by Neil's self insert is a-okay.
Also, the scene that pissed me off the most is the "Bigot Sandwich" scene.

This is why I fucking hate social justices. There is no redemption, no forgiveness, no lesson learned, no growth. Just constantly being offended. I have been the victim of both sexism and racism. My brother who is gay has also been the victim of racism and homophobia and whenever someone who treated us like shit comes to us and apologize to us and tell us that they learned their lesson we of course forgive them. With Neil and his ilk it's "one strike and you're out! No forgiveness!" This is a extremely toxic mindset to have and enforce.

They censored Trish's butt in the game. When word got out they did that I think they uncensored it. Also, I believe that RetardEra got pissed at one of the character designs for Persona 5 Royal so Sony demanded that they change it.

It seems that sony just really doesn't like the games coming out of their country and have an anti anime tiddies policy, masked as toning down sexual content, yet they greenlit TLOU2 sex scene and have no problem with other AAA games like GTA5 or Witcher.

At the end of the day Sony should just cite the 'M' rating lots of these games have for any explicit content of lewd content. That is kind of why ratings exist so you don't have to go back and cut shit out of a game to get to market.

Yeah, I can see why you would be a little uncomfortable with that. With serious subjects like rape and sexual assault you need to be careful and serious. It is not a subject that should be taken lightly.

I don't disagree. Persona 5 is as subtle as a shovel to the face in some parts but that's so unsubtle that it is heavy-handed.

In the original it worked for the most part, I mean most of those Palace Holders were melodramatic motherfuckers, but the game knew when to not have the fan service. Royal tho... maybe that extra year of development wasn't needed...

They are fun, 1, 2 and 2.2 are more standard RPGs with some really weirdo occultist shit in the plot.
3, 4 and 5 have a Slice of life element to them where you go day to day in your character's life, they dialed back the occultist stuff in favor of magical psycholgical realism, they have pacing problems and they sometimes are too heavy handed but they are fun.

However, later in the game, it shows that the bigot in question engages in MORE bigotry and homophobia despite his apology. Apparently, he goes off on regular tirades and tries to apologize only to do it again and again.

It's a weird scene even though, yes, it happens in RL.

I am very curious why they have these games be so incredibly sexualized (and Sparda bless them for it) but so very sexless. I mean is there any reason not to have Dante and Lady in a relationship (or Dante/Lady/Trish?). I mean, it's a very 13 year old vision but at least Leon in RE gets laid.

I wouldn't be too picky personally. I would be like "Sweet! Free food! Thanks dick!" and be on my way. That whole scene and character feels like it was just put in there for Neil to grandstand. That is something one should avoid when writing. Don't have characters be mouth pieces for your views or views that you hate. You have to be a little more subtle with such things.
