The Last of Us 2 - Two cowgirls murdering each other's loved ones

I mean, do adults have the right to choose to massacre an entire hospital and cut the throat of an unarmed doctor? Should adults have the right to adopt a teenager that doesn't even know them because they got attached to them even when they might not want that? Because the whole game is Joel basically forcing his desires on Ellie all through out. And the only reason a player would feel like he is in the right is because they are playing as him, that's why the game ends with you controlling Ellie, and the DLC also is centered on her. Joel stops being the POV character once he shows that he is just another person manipulating Ellie for his own ends.

Manipulating for his ends? He came from the before world where kids don't know what the fuck they want or what they need. If he let her die she would not fall in love and all that other shit she was talking about in this new one. He made the right choice. Which he reaffirmed again in one of the few parts he had in the shitty fucking sequel. The sequel where people are running around raising hell but zombies are such a threat.

Like if you have the ability to still party like this dumb bitch is...why are we killing kids to save the world? Like you commie leftist fucks want anarchy. There ya go. You got it. YAY!

Yep, Joel basically just wants from Ellie to be his Sarah replacement. He even shows disdain for the idea that she might actually have lived through loss. The DLC even shows us that Ellie's conviction to get the cure comes from very personal loss she suffered, comparable to his own, but while he got his replacement, she got nothing, only to live out Joel's pretend family game.

Yeah he shows disdain because she didn't lose the world she lost a couple of people. You are so clueless. If you lost everyone in your life you ever talked to someone saying "I lost one or two people too waaahhhh" is a joke.

Ellie also lost everyone in her life, kinda why she is an Orphan getting tossed around between mercs.

Tommy himself even regards Joel as a person who will put his idea of what he wants from you over your own wishes. Whe Joel talks to him in the first game Tommy literally states he still has nightmares because of the things Joel has done in his mission of "keeping him safe" to the point where he ran away to a group like the Fireflies. Joel even admits to having been a raider like the ones you kill at some point. It is very clear and reiterated that Joel is a violent person who puts his desires atop everyone. Even in the opening scene he doesn't hesitate with gunning people down even before the Apocalypse, and when Tommy suggest helping other people Joel wants none of that. Basically everyone in Joel's life loves him but considers him a terrible person.

Weren't there files somewhere in the Firefly HQ that say they found other people that were immune but failed at getting a cure out of them time and time again?

They came to him for a reason. You need people like that to get the job done. Living life as a raider is probably why he is still alive. Early days were rough. You can tell he feels remorse for things like that. So Ellie lost everyone so why not just kill ourselves. How poetic! She doesn't know what she has. She doesn't appreciate that Joel cares for her. People act like he is just imprinting onto her some aspect of his daughter, but he simply grew attached to her due to being around her a lot like anyone would. Any older man that once had a daughter would do that. Why do Leftists hate dads so much?

Convince me that life is not manageable and I will say murder the bitch please. Can we murder her now? Is she still able to be butchered for parts? Maybe in another sequel.

The Last of Us 3.
Opens with Ellie strapped to a table.
"This is what you wanted"
"Nooooooo I am in looovee nowwww!"

No it says they had done tests with a vaccine when they were in the university but it didn't work in the end, and I think that was when they were testing it on the monkeys you find. It's also where they reference some real life studies on finding vaccines for parasites. The recorder doesn't mention other people being inmune. They only state they did tests on a passive vaccine but it didn't bear fruit so they abandoned the place. Joel even admits he made that up in the flashback.

I do find it kinda odd how since Joel's actions at the end of TLOU1 which could be considered villainous, that makes his silly golf club death okay because "Joel deserves to die". It'd be kinda like sparing Legate Lanius and after the war at Hoover Dam he's punished by being pushed down a flight of stairs to death.

He became a legend known as The Floor Man.

Yeah she must be just super special. See this is why I can't buy this fake ass science. Nobody is that special.

I mean, people dying unceremoniously is kind of a running theme in the series. He had it coming and he died with no grace like all those enemies you can blast a shotgun through their legs in the game proper. There is a reason enemies now have unique names, and even their dogs do. When you play as Abby she reacts to you massacring her friends with the same disgust as when Ellie saw Abby club him to death.

Abby's entourage aren't even ok with what they did when you switch over to them.

It's like.... one of those things stories have.... themes.

I understand the theme because it is blatantly obvious. I just don't like it because I dislike Ellie so now I will no longer play the games. I liked the dad not the little whiny bitch. He was a likable character. One of the few male protagonists the Playstation had put out that were not cookie cutter military guys. So much so Kratos became DAD. Now Dad is dead. Super bitch is the new one in charge and we have plenty of super bitches. If I wanted to listen to some liberal slut whine about shit I would watch the news.

Joel was pretty cookie cutter as far as protagonists went, it was the fact that those characteristics is what shaped him up to be the antagonist of the story that made him interesting in the first game.

I don't think anyone doubts it was believable. That's why Joel was a great character. His decision was evil from a utilitarian perspective but it was absolutely understandable and believable from the perspective of a real person with irrational and emotional drives. He was a great character but that shouldn't entrust you plot armor

Dude is even voiced by Troy Baker when it was the prime cliche to have your main character be voiced by Troy Baker. His entire "dad" schtick was as cliche as videogame protagonists got. He looks like the guy on the cover of Bioshock Infinite, which was mocked for looking generic. He was designed with all those qualities to be a send off to that type of character by deconstructing it in a realistic fashion.

In any case, I am enjoying the game. Altho it's starting to feel more than a bit padded out, specially with Abby's first chapter. That entire section on the zombie boat was pointless, could've easily been nipped off an nothing would've been lost. Felt specially uninspired after the amazing sequence where you have to fight with with only a hammer.

TLOU2 is shit and will always be shit. No amount of defense will make the game good. The game did have some good ideas but, like with George Lucas, someone needed to be there to filter Neil's ideas and ego.
I can also guarantee you once Cyperpunk 2077 comes out that it will be the best selling PS4 game.

Yeah, I thought that too was a stretch. The defense I have seen for this game is unbelievable. It truly is The Last Jedi of video games.

Dude, don't you get it. That would so have made New Vegas so much better. Instead of the theme being to "Begin again. Learn to let go", it instead is about pointless revenge and violence. Only for the Courier at the last minute and after killing thousands of people and creatures to realize that killing and violence is wrong. So deep!

Apparently just talking about the themes of the games is insane defense. Who knew you could only repeat the bandwagon and not be able to talk about things in the game in depth.

I think the problem is the theme of the game went from dad keeps surrogate daughter alive at no matter the cost to, you purple haired weirdos killed my fake dad and I am conflicted about my feeling on this subject.
