i still havent seen avatar. nothing pushes me in its direction.
i did however download titanic two days ago, oh god, im such a fairy :(
no, really, i was having a "spazzy-moment" regarding titanic, so i just "had" to re-watch it.

leonardo dicaprio is a good actor tho. love him in the aviator, the beach, and blood diamond, where he, imo, outshines the script itself.
I agree with you on Leonardo DiCaprio's talent as an actor, he's got some brilliant roles, for example in Inception and The Departed movies.
I saw Titanic in 3D last week, I pretty much enjoyed the action by the way.

Fantastic trailer for a really great movie, got to see it during its film festival run, and its finally being released in theaters in May. It's like a 1980's drug induced fever dream, that's the best way I can describe it.

Also Looper looks great, 2012 looks to be a good year for science fiction.

I just came back from watching Melancholy. Great movie, but I think I need to rewatch the Muppet's Movie again... to balance out the sad.

Okay, so I just came back from Watching The Avengers....

GO WATCH IT!

Nolan Swatman movies, you can stick your lack of flavor where you know.

A Night to Remember (1958) - The best Titanic movie.

Had a movie night. Watched Battleship and John Carter. Mistakes where made, i know.

Next time i'll try to read some reviews before watching something friends propose.

I hope hollywood drowns in it's own excrements.

this was probably talked about 10 pages back when it came out, but I just saw chronicle, and I thought it was pretty cool.
I don't see too many movies, and it was something I had really wanted to see, so I was predisposed to liking it, but it didn't disappoint.

my only complaint is that the ad/trailers kind of spoil it, but that's pretty typical.
you just end up watching it play itself out, waiting for an ending you've already seen.

it's not an obscure festival film, but in case you live in egypt, or whatever, it's about these 3 highschool kids that get some paranormal abilities.

what was the nerd consensus on that one?

i hate hero type shows and movies Exept! the only movie i found preety decent in that sector was I am number Four which isn't about teenagers getting power but about a alien race hiding amongst humans who have some powers and are trying to avoid extinction, cool movie i do recommend it oh and Avatar for its hype was an epic fail, pocahontas in space how original..

Drive is on Netflix stream now. I don't know why it's so highly rated, the movie kinda sucks. It's one of those "sleepy with sudden short bursts of unexpectedly extreme violence" types, only there is very little beyond that. A lot of independent films use that trick nowadays and it's becoming too obvious and old, even to me.

Joss Whedon directed that, right? I'll try and get to it. Actually I've been trying but I've been too busy lately.

I am not much of a Whedon fan, I liked Angel, and I watched Buffy as a Kid, but I don't consider the guy to be half the "god" most nerds say.

wish you hadn't mentioned that.

I was a big fan of whedon because of buffy/angel, but that schtick gets old.

maybe I'll see it anyway.
