Remember all those SNL greats! And their careers today?! How depressing. What happened? Can someone please explain?
Who are you thinking of, specifically? I mean, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Bill Murray -- those guys are all still working and successful. Maybe they're past their prime, but that's unavoidable.

I have a bigger problem with the Adam Sandler generation of ex-SNLers. They're all coasting on their previous success, which I don't think is true of the 1970s SNLers.
Sometimes strength at 5-minute sketch comedy doesn't translate into being able to hold a 90 minute feature together either. Will Farrell can be funny in small doses, but 90 minutes of Ricky-Bobby is 88 minutes too much for me.

His 'badass mode' transformation had me loling like a maniac.
That's pretty bad, yeah. I hate the music and the fighting (everyone's a freakin' Jedi these days) and most of the LA nightclub aesthetic. It's like the whole crew hopped over to the movie business after making annoying music videos.

Remaking Total Recall and having it turn out worse than the Arnold version would be...disheartening. Not that I hate the Arnold version, but it could certainly be improved if done right.

Obviously you forgot about this scene

Anyone of you guys seen The Grey yet? Awesome stuff! Liam Nesson FTW!

i dont know why, but i really dont like liam neeson, wether its his weird name, his odd voice, weird face, none of which he can help or take any blame for, so i really should have nothing against him.

obviously, i was mildly annoyed that he voiced "dad" in FO3 (which was also a thoroughly annoying character)

hes probably an allright feller, i suppose...

I just think he is not that great of an actor, his voice is really monotone and he is pretty emotionless.

I think the only time I have seen him smile that A-Team movie.

I just saw Warts... erhmmm Wrath of The Titans with my nephew.

The seats in the cinema were pretty comfortable, it was easy to take a 1 hour nap. What a bland movie... Why did they make a sequel to Clash of The Titans?
Liam Neeson sucks as an actor IMO.

I feel pity for the actors in Wrath of the Titans. The script and directing were so horrendous I doubt Liam Neeson & co. could have done anything with them even if they had been good at acting.

now that I watched Avatar ... this is it? This is the stuff people made such a huge fuss about? Well ... certainly it was not ... a bad movie. Sure entertainment. Good enough. But still. In my eyes NOT one of Camerons best movies.

I guess watching it in TV was probably just only 30% of the fun anyway. But I am not such 3D-ophile. And thus 3D effects don't really impress me THAT much.

It definitely should be seen on a big screen, but it actually looks better in 2D than it does in 3D, IMO.

From a story standpoint it's the worst Cameron movie I've seen.

yeah and it would have been even in 3D from the start. Though hands down if the movie would have been even half realistic you damn know what would have happend after they lost the planet to those blue cats.

I'm very suspicious of Cameron lately, having re-watched some of his old movies. The two big franchises he touched received worse than a Michael Bay treatment. Both Alien and Rambo were genuinely great movies. Their sequels were praised at the time and are still considered good for some reason but after watching them recently, I was shocked at just how fucking horrible, cheesy, and dumb they were compared to the originals.

The rest of his work is entirely overrated. True Lies has always been dumb fun. Both Titanic and Avatar have very little going for them except for the budget and the production values. The two Terminators were both great action flicks though, who knows what happened there.

i still havent seen avatar. nothing pushes me in its direction.
i did however download titanic two days ago, oh god, im such a fairy :(
no, really, i was having a "spazzy-moment" regarding titanic, so i just "had" to re-watch it.

leonardo dicaprio is a good actor tho. love him in the aviator, the beach, and blood diamond, where he, imo, outshines the script itself.

well there are ideas for Avatar 2 and even 3 ... though I am curious what they actually want to make out of that mess. I mean ... what else is left to do then blow up those blue cats?

Storyline was never really important in Avatar, it was about the 3d. Avatar 2: War of the worlds sounds pretty cool, don't you think?

maybe not important for those people that enjoy only new effects.

But even the story they stole their idea from (Dances with Wolves) made a much better job of showing the diversity of the characters.

If they do a second movie then I hope they will spend somewhat more time on the script as well.

Anyone see the trailer for Looper? Joseph Gordon Levitt looks like Max Payne!
