Probably nothing. That's the beauty of it. Promote the right people and they censor them self. I always joke about corruption but I think it could be far worse. We're talking about conviction in many cases. And of course many people love the bling-bling and money that's thrown around too. But that's mainly Hollywood. It was always like that.

Maybe that's the sign that humanity is past its expiration date. I mean who knows? Our brain apparently hasn't really changed for what, the last 30-40 thousand years? Maybe we hit our "cultural" peak a long time ago ...

I figured this out when I was 16, while walking through the Louvre.
 
Humanity's peak was somewhere between 1990 and 2007. 2007 was the beginning of a very sharp decline.

Each civilization hits their peak at some time, with most of the world being connected cultures have somewhat homogenized so that what would be separate cultures dying off or continuing on are on one boat now. Whether the species as a whole has hit a cultural peak, well I'm sure the people who survived the downfall of Rome felt the same way.

A spirited speech. Movies as we all know are good forms of escapism. So in general sci fi more so than fantasy and comedy especially stupid inane off it's head comedy.
Earlier in status I posted the now age old speech from Mars Attacks ! I don't buy into the Eugghh Tim Burton is a jerk stuff.
I just found it funny as fuck. I will dig out my favourite scene if possible. ASAP
 
Tim Burton is fine. Even the Dark Shadows movie was fine. He just needs to stop making his actors look like ghost dolls.

Any way I really liked this movie but it was made by a ' Grass '

I watched the new Dragon Ball movie. It is the best Dragon Ball movie of all time. SOlid 6.5/10.
It actually had more than 1 scene unlike the last 2 movies and most of Dragon Ball Super, it actually had scenes, and dialogue and characterization, which is kinda sad that that is now such a high bar to clear for the series lol

Animation was also pretty good, the first cuts they showed on trailers didn't look that great but in the movie proper they are top notch, specially the character acting, it's filled with small motions that really sell the scenes.

The design of the new Gohan Blanco and Orange Piccoro are ugly as hell tho, that's the thing it inherits from modern Dragon Ball, the lame ass design of the transformations.
 
So it had more than one location unlike that Broly movie which was all in one spot? Gohan Blanco? Jesus man...this is why I cannot watch the show anymore haha....
