Trump is winning

Yeah I know... it's a growing problem in the world, where people in for social welfare, equality and other liberal beliefs are branded as communists.

It's a sign of growing ignorance.

It's a media narrative.
I'm under the impression that all mainstream news is fucked up and it's messed with people's minds.
That being said, I live in the UK, where a papaer laughs at Dead Refugees but gets angry at people making memes about Harambe.

Yeah, the media is pretty fucked up.

It's a shame that after the defeat of fascism, right wing movements are growing. Hopefully they'll remain right wing, and not go out too far but you never know...

It's hard to imagine a liberal wanting more democracy, taking out big businesses and equality become an insane dictator, then a right winger wanting homogenous societies, closed immigration and white supremacy.

It's a strange fucked up World we live in.
That's why we must go the Yes Man route and be like "Fucking Anarchy Mate"

On a more serious note, I suspect if we actually talk to most people (and people, not politcal powers) we'll learn that most have a resonable view on the World, their minds have been clouded by stories of terrosim and hatred that they learnt to live in fear.

I'm surprised when my Nan (who reads possibly the most right-wing paper in the Country) thinks the Internet is getting worse because papers like dig it through the mud.

However, moving onto something more on topic, the issue with Capitalism, it's not a stable method for the economy.
Capitalism usually revolves around ramant commercialism, and that's only substanable as long people buy shit.
There are issues with Socialism as well, such as the idea that people would take advantage of it.
But sadly, there's no trust in the People from big Governments, poeple are actually a lot more willing than Political Parties think.

And now we have this weird case where Trump is gaining more and more support, which to me, is showing that we can't keep going on as we have done for the past 50 years or so.

I look at Brexit in the same way, it's showing Governments just how unhappy we are with the Status Quo.
With the Police Brutality, Poverty Increasing, Banks getting away with fucking the Country over, people having to pay for health insurance, privatisation of emergency services (see point before) and many more things I can't think of at the moment, Politics has become detached from the People.

But sadly, the News won't cover any of this, it's not in its best interest.
I don't know how much influence Rupert Murdock has over in the US (I know he owns Fox News... which is satire without the irony) but he has (or at least did have, I'm not sure if he has has power with Theresa May) power over here for years, deluding printed news most notably with his own Politics.

If you read about the Phone Hacking Scandal, then it should come to no suprise that he was involved and yet got away with it.

Hopefully we will see a change before the current system kills us all.

Funny how no country has been communist yet.

That's because humans, with the current mindset, cannot form a functional communist society.

I think Heinlein had it best in "Starship Troopers"
where insects are basically a functional communist galactic force. They were born and bred for that, and it's a system which suits them the most.

Humans are totalitarian and fascist on the other hand, so there's that too...

Eh, yeah don't assume that I am anti-communist. I am just realistic. It's a theory. A philosphy. I mean it's also funny that we didn't have a completely libertarian country yet. No regulations, absolute freedom and liberty etc. sounds as good on paper like the ideas of communism.

The problem is when those things collide with reality. And reality simply tells us, that communism is a shitty system if you try to put it in practise, as Atom said we're not insects. However, with saying that, it doesn't mean that you shouldn't talk about it or that you can't learn something from it which might be usefull here and there. Some concepts, are definetly very possitive, and have more of a future then our current model of American and European capitalism which is doomed to fail - I mean if you do the math for example, where 30% of the worlds population, namely the richtes nations, have exhausted more then 40% of the planets resources. It doesn't take a genious to imagine what might happen if the remaining 70% would get to the living standard of the richest 30%. And that is just with the world population we have now ... by 2050 or 70 (not sure) we are expected to be around 12 billion people! I know that this is extremly simplified. But I think it's accurate enough to get a rought picture.

Simply put, our world has limitations, and that endless growing is impossible. But without it the capitalist model simply doesn't work. At least the one that we use right now. The Scandinavian nations might be the best model for our future, for humanity as a whole. High taxation based on income, which provides everyone with a reasonable standard of living.

Yeah I know, it's a dream. But a dream that is possible through one route...

1984 dystopia. Brainwash the masses, destroy basic freedoms and empty the soul of man to become a governmental machine and extension. Once everyone is happy with their lot and state, then it will be a utopia. No dissent, no realization and no freedom,

He is without a doubt not an islamophobe, xenophobe, or a racist.

Trump bankrolled in 2000 a set of anti-Indian gaming ads in upstate New York that featured "a dark photograph showing hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia," a warning that "violent criminals were coming to town," and an accusation that the St. Regis Mohawks had a "record of criminal activity."[381] The ad—aimed at stopping the construction of a casino in the Catskills that might hurt Trump's own Atlantic City casinos[382]—was viewed as "incendiary" and racially charged, and at the time local tribal leaders, in response, bought a newspaper ad of their own to denounce the "smear" and "racist and inflammatory rhetoric" of the earlier ad.[381]

I think this speaks for itself, even aside from all the more recent stuff he's said about immigrants, Hispanic people, and Muslims.

Yes, and Trump also sacrificed a whole lot for his nation I guess.

Dude, if you havn't realized it by now, then I doubt you would call him a racist if he was marching with an SS unit over your head.

So everything and everybody is racist because why not. good to know.

I mean I know he is worse than Hitler because he said mean thing. mean thing is worse thing.

Aren't there better points to attack Trump than trying to pin him as a racist? Like the fact that he has supported anti-union legislation, built most of his enterprises using unskilled immigrants, but then hired unions to build his own house? Or the fact that many foreign countries would not respect him as a leader? Much can be said against Shillary but she has an actual history with foreign relations and leaders.

I heard he has mafia connections too.

Eh? Don't be obtuse. Saying 'mean' things is sure not the same as accusations,
"She probably, maybe she wasn't allowed to have anything to say." - Donald Trump about Khizr Khan's wife.
But that's not really a big deal, no, not for TheGM, right? You know, I could also say that Amercians are obnoxious, loud, fat and lazy people.
When they come to the Oktober fest as tourists, they're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, they're rapists vomiting everywhere, and some, I assume, are good people.
But I am not doing that, because I am not buying into sterotypes like that. Particularly as I don't frequent the Octoberfest.

If you can't see the difference between racism and xenopobia and saying mean things, then well ... it's no surprise why you like Trump so much.

What policies? He's a talker. Like all of them. I have no clue what Trump will do, or what he won't do when he's a president. If he wins and his 4 years are over, then we can talk about his policies. Right now, I can only judge him on his speches. And they don't impress me. Just for the record. I disslike Hillary just as much like Trump, for different reasons though. I mean for all we know Hillary could be one of the Lizard people hidding behind human skinn and Trump one of the mole people looking to start a nuclear war between humans.

Who said I liked Trump. The man is a clown and I find him entertaining.

But I forget it's current year. if group A posts bullshit and you make snarky posts, you must obviously be part of group B.

If you attack his speeches Trump fans will wave you off as just some stupid hater. But if you attack his positions on policy from a logical standpoint, there's not much other people can do to dismiss it.

Uhm? Yeah? And your point is, that he has an opinion on how to do things once he is a president? Big deal. Why don't you also look at his record, which isn't very stellar either. How many presidents or actually respectable business owners do you know that have been involved in so many different lawsuits. But I guess just to mention that makes one a Trump hater too ...

If his speches mean so little, then why have them? They certainly are what gets a lot of votes and attention for him. So I should completely ignore those? Speches and ralies tell us a lot about the kind of character a person is. So I don't see why it is wrong to also take a look at those. His whole position could (and most probably will) change if he becomes President. I can only judge people in a fair manner for what they do and what they say, not for what they say they might do.
