Trump wins

I wasn't talking about surveillance.

I was talking about not importing people from shitty war torn third world hellscapes who have proven time and time again that they breed violent fundamentalism at a rate significantly higher than anywhere else in the world.

We dont want them. We dont need them. Let them rot there.

This is what I don't get with modern American politics: We fund countries and groups that are known to be hostile towards us, and have proven time and time again that letting in a few from one country has led to rape, murder, and outright acts of terrorism.

Kinda like the nuclear deal with Iran: why the FUCK are we giving nuclear materials to a country that has been hostile towards us since the turn of the century?

Why not learn something from nations that had do deal with REAL terrorism inside their borders? And which actually managed to solve some issues. Like Britain for example, with the IRA.
A small hint. More surveillance, more troops, more viollence and more anti-terror measures havn't been the answer.

The big problem is, when you're fighting extremism, with more drastic measures, then it's like trying to fight fire with fire. You can also consider to drown the place in gasoline, which might be effective, once, but even the smallest spark, will start a huge fire again, biger than before.

I am always surprised by all the things people suggest these days ... and I ask my self ... did they ever had to suffer from actuall and real terrorism? Bombs going down next to them? Living in fear beacuse the artillery is moving closer to your home by the day? I was lucky that I never experienced the civil war in Yugoslavia, but I have relatives that did. The problem with ideologies, which also include religion, is that you can not effectivelly battle it like the US and Europe did for the last 30 years.

And funny enough, the largest number of victims to Islamic terrorism today ... are muslims. The kind of attacks we experience in the west are very small in comparision. But if you ONLY see the religion, and nothing else, then of course you will always continue to run in to the same issues over and over again.

You act like this is a complicated issue when it's not.
Theres no issue if you don't let these people in.

If there is a guy with a gun outside your door asking to come in you don't come up with complex strategies to talk him down into not shooting you.... you don't let him in, in the first fucking place.
Some things have changed.

Turkey =/= a newly strengthened Middle Eastern Superpower
Turkey isn't even the country most of these migrants are coming from so gg being completely off topic.

Also lol @ the same guy who will refuse to watch any videos I post of someone posting a 30minute lecture that I'm supposed to respectfully watch now.
"It's only ridiculous to watch a 30 minute lecture when it's against my side!"

I think I read this guys book once or, at least, a book that made a similar argument. Honestly, im not entirely convinced. Iraq supposedly had one the most powerful militaries in the world until they got crushed in an afternoon. And just because the ottomans were powerful once doesnt mean itll happen again. Just ask Greece.

I would like to see you making the US bullet proof to terrorism. Just don't let them in, sounds always super nice on paper and in speeches though.

Better than your tactic of sitting on your hands and calling everything complicated and being a backseat driver whilst coming up with no solutions of your own.
No one things it's going to solve everything magically dumbass, but it's better than just jacking off and doing nothing.
America operated on this system for years. Open the gates for a bit, when you get too many immigrants you close shit down and let people assimilate.
Not immediately bring in hundreds of thousands of hostile migrants from third world terrorist breeding zones.

How do you make sure that none of them gets in?

small reminder, here are the current US borders

By more background checks that could be actually avoided?
Ok now I'm certain you're fucking blind.
Let me help

THATS NOT THE ONLY COUNTER MEASURE THATS GONNA BE USED YOU FUCKING MONGOLOID
Where do you see that happening in the US right now?
Not in the US (well Obama has brought in quite a few and Hillary wanted even more), mainly in Europe.

Is that map supposed to help your point? Because it doesn't, it's real fuckin easy to keep middle eastern third worlders out of the country when they're an ocean away.
As for Mexico we're solving that by building a wall and enforcing the border.

I always hear 'this is not the only measure', but I have yet to hear one that is actually really effective and not just a placebo that costs a shit ton of money and yields very small results, if any at all - see Kurzgesagt.

Seriously guys, why do you act like this issue exists only since 9/11? IRA, RAF, ETA, terrorism and war on the balkans, Israel and their conflicts.

But yes ... the issue is easy to solve. Close the borders. Let no one in and use [insert unspecificed measure] and you will be fine.

Why do we even think that bringing in undocumented foreigners from Lord knows where into our country is good?
Why do you guys asssume I am proposing this? How many times do I have to say that we have to tackle the issue of political Islam and Islamic terrorism?

Vergil, cut it down with those insults, mkay? This isn't the first time that you're loosing your temper in such a way.

Hmm... I think that homegrown terrorism is more of a problem... it's cleaner, stealthier and more effective because you can get seemingly innocent American citizens to buy weapons, explosives (or materials for them) and cars without being relentlessly questioned. The only way to stop terrorism is to put everyone into labour camps... but that's never gonna happen.

@Crni Vuk is only happy taking a course of action if it 100% guarantees success.

I wonder if he applies this same logic to decisions in his own life.

Condoms? Nah, theres a 1% chance they could get through, better not bother.

Using designated crosswalks? Well theres nothing actually stopping cars from mowing you down on one of those. Pointless!

Cleaning and bandaging an open wound? Theres still a chance you could experience blood loss and/or get infected. Fuck it!

Then why not apply the same logic to the Swedish healt care? It seems to work for Norway and Sweden, why should it not work for the US?

Also, the US is a bit bigger compared to Pland and Hungary - see world map. Again, how do you want to protect the US in a sufficient manner?

I never said that. But, how effective was everything the US has done after 9/11?

You guys want to protect your nation. Ok. I respect that. That's reasonable.

I ask how.

You say, by not leting 'those' people in. Ok. I respect that, the nations where they come from, are not really a paradise.

I ask how do you make sure they don''t come in?

(...) ... Build a wall, I guess?

Said who? The media? No one ever treated Iraq more than a regional power and all the weapons of mass destruction talk was bullshit. Turkey is not the same. They hold a very strategic place in the balance of power over there. People were spooked by Iraq because they though Hussein had all that crazy shit that he ended up not having.

Ah, but the US has a very large ocean border, whereas Poland and Hungary are surrounded by land with small stretches of sea on their coast. Not to forget they're a lot closer to the Middle East.
