Is this poll pointless?

Probably not too long. I don't mind the opinions, but the constant extreme belligerence is getting kinda old. Rabid dogs might need some putting down.

>get attacked for unpopular opinions in an unpopular opinion thread
>attack back
>"GASP, we can't have this kind of BELLIGERENCE here!"

Don't make it TOO obvious whose side you're on, now.

  • The "A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones" series and the "Harry Potter" series are junk literature/entertainment fit only for idiots, women and children.

Starship Troopers : Traitor of Mars is the best Metal Gear Solid movie before the actual movie come out.

Considering that you only got like two temp bans from threads while you're basically insulting everyone on a constant basis, that side would more likely be yours.
Yes, people also call you names, but you push it much further.

I'm not sure how did it come across that his thread is "say whatever without any sort of pushback whatsoever, literally whatever". Then again this is a thread by "Post a picture of a shrimp inside a dick in general"-R.Graves. Perhaps PD would be more comfortable in 4chan, when that's the entire point of it.

Funny thing is that we have a more or less free-for-all /pol/shitposting thread.

So? At the end of the day I haven't doxxed or offsited anyone, they still have their jobs (assuming they had one to begin with) and all their limbs are still attached. Yes, I will insult them, their mothers, their countries and everything they believe in, but they already have the choice to disengage and ignore if their asses are too sore.

Unpopular opinion:

  • The Internet is not a hugbox and shouldn't be. You should be insulted and offended on a daily basis so you develop the ability to realize how little either of those things actually fucking matter.

You think a children's book series (Harry Potter) is entertainment for children? Christ man, take it easy.
I don't know much about GoT besides watching Season 1 but I didn't absolutely hate it.
Also, entertainment that isn't of high acclaim by critics and connoisseurs of the medium is still okay to enjoy. There's a big difference between saying Harry Potter is a fun series to read/watch and saying Harry Potter is the best book series mankind has ever created. You can enjoy things that are bad or mediocre, that's fine. It's not okay to praise it as if it were challenging the medium and breaking new ground in it.
I enjoy shitty sci-fi and science fantasy movies, I don't tell people Riddick movies are worthy of critical praise though. They're just fun sci-fi action movies to me.

I mean, you would think that would be a slam dunk opinion right there but what you tend to see is people who NEVER GREW OUT OF HARRY POTTER. It's not even nostalgia-goggles, THEY STILL THINK IT'S THE BEST SHIT EVER YEARS INTO THEIR ADULTHOOD.

ASOIAF/GoT is utter tripe. I got four books in at the urging of multiple friends and finally decided "You know what? This is shit." They still think it's amazing, of course. The GoT HBO series takes a few liberties with the book material, but it doesn't do so to make it better - the end result is actually significantly worse than even what the books manage.

I think most people just have fun with it and it's fun for their kids to get into it. Unless you have some religious belief barring fiction about magic then the series is very child friendly for the most part. It doesn't teach bad things, violence is only used to get rid of evil things. The books don't get any slight of mature until like 5 or 6 if I remember correctly. If you can find a thing to enjoy alongside your children without fucking them up, that's just a win/win man. No wonder people go gaga over it. It's also marketed to be appealing to numerous people.
I might have liked Barney as a 3 year old but I'd rather watch something Harry Potter with a toddler than Barney as an adult. Know what I mean?
I grew up reading the books and watched movies 1-4, until recently I watched the fifth one.
It's fun. It's not anything super amazing though.

Is that why you compulsively spaz out whenever given the slightest oportunity?

This is FUN for me, smoothbrain. I mean, why would I bother engaging you chucklefucks at all if I wasn't having a blast? Life's too short to habitually do unfun things without some sort of recompense.

If your "fun" is everybody elses "enfuriated", then sure, you do you and stuff. Just be careful with your blood pressure. Continously high stress levels shortens your life span, and none of us would want that. Not a single one!

>"YOU'RE MAD! YOU'RE MAD! I'M NOT MAD! YOU'RE MAD!"

Wow you've certainly convinced me there.

Hm, good idea.
The name already exists, though.
How about "Cliffy McEdgeface"?
