Oh yeah. I can't wait for the next big war. I want a whole new generation to experience widespread psychological manipulation and death over foreign interests. Maybe this time they will wake up.
My first impulse was to go ahead and reply with a list of all major wars in human history, but... I've actually tried compile such a list, 3 times before, each time it was a several month endevour that little by little became more and more pointless, as wars often overlap and definitions become fleeting
Nobody will learn anything. Well, we can at least learn *that*
We've even been through most kinds of epic revolutionary breakdowns, such as the people storming the Bastille, crushing The Power, decapitating The Man, ending oppression! Foralittlwhile. How long did it take for oppression to resume? Days? Hell, minutes if you count the perspectives of everybody, I'm sure a lot of the people hunched over that chopping block felt pretty oppressed there and then
I get your sentiment though, if anything it'll be a lesson learned for the duration of a couple of generations. When compiling my little war-lists, that was often in the back of my mind, some-or-other central asian kingdom falls, and people go "That's it. Finally. THIS is a world I can see my kids grow up in!" - untill the next one. In that meantime though, it probably was pretty neat. Birds chirping, cats meowing, normality for everybody.
