Van Buren Resources Exported!

Yeah, the mine stuff is cool. I think, the right table is a bit too big, if I imagine a playercharacter near it. Lamp, shovel, fireplace, rails, etc. are all great. This wall parts, is it some kind of rope in there? It somehow looks like there should be transparent places, or am I wrong?

Yeah, it should be transparent, but won't be, and it's going to be removed. Transparency is done via Alpha Channel (Opacity), and when you're using it you'll get anti aliasing, where Opacity map is used - your settings are totally ignored.

The same thing is in Guano Machine (between verticals planks).

The only way is to replace it with mesh... or remove white areas after rendering!

Painting over with some blue would work:

First I thought that the AA will be a problem, but it isn't as bad.

Yeah, I'll pimp the pipes. But it's a real pain in da ass to tweak such low-poly models, because of AWFUL topology. Faster I'd create my own from scratch...
Exactly my thoughts regarding all of the objects. Nice guidelines - using them one can start from scratch and keep all those interesting details, maybe even add some more... And remove the dull ones (if any).

This is going to be the most hot thing, I guess...

It's looking damn crazy! :D
Pimp this crazy WTF thingie up and I'll completely believe you've been a vulture in your past life.

Thanks so much! some of them wont load. I will post a full list in a minute. For now here is some more eye candy:

There is a bizare walking plant creature in there called a weedling. I messed up my render settings though and cant get a proper picture. Here are some more:

I can' get these ones to work:
CR_Ant.g3d.ms
CR_Monsta.g3d.ms
CR_Sheep.g3d.ms
CR_Badger.g3d.ms
CR_Bear.g3d.ms
CR_Deathclaw.g3d.ms

It appears the human G3Ds are modular i.e. there is a separate G3D for a beard, so this should make creating new critters interesting.

Strange, but that's what happened with me:

Deathclaw
i563613_desklo.jpg

Ant
i563614_ant.jpg

The format of the other files is somewhat different from the standard. Maybe they are broken, yet I can not say for sure. As to CR_Monsta.g3d, then it is a text file.

Ahh, my bad. I made a mistake in the deathclaw and ant scripts. The other ones look fine but do not work :(

Other stuff like the DS_Vault13_Doors{2}MainDoor.g3d will not load either. They throw a Tri mesh error.

Whats that for a cow? It looks strange and like a freak of nature. I mean, seriously. One head?

:>

Thats bugs are very interesting. Wonder how they look like in the game because somehow I can't really see them fit in.

Hah, radtoad, awesome XD

Can we get animation from these critters?

There are *.anim files which use Granny DLL... no one has managed to hax that to my knoledge. They would need to be animated manually.

I was hoping you would pick this thread up, and you considering using these in your project? also did you catch the tutorials Kanhef translated:

Well, Granny has been hacked, I've found .ms script on some granny decode website (google it). Thanks to that I was able to import The Fall characters meshes from packed .gr2 files. There's also .gr2 Skeleton and Animation import Plugin, and the source code is available for it.

Do you like VB's rock?

Yeah, but it needs a better texture. ;) Big mountain-building sets would be great.
