Convert some UT3 stuff and you have Necris with darkwalker :P Scale them down a bit lol) And Battlefied 2142... crazy stuff >_<
Manga/anime/pokemons/whatever will fit much better into cartoon-ish art style, present in Fallout, I think.

Hail to the Pika-chu 3D model! Hail to the king, babY!

Delicious Prospect

Conti can you do use all a favor…grab a suitable model and textures from any game (Half Life 2 maybe) convert it to the FOline format, and pass it to Lexx so we can see how it would look in game. Half Life 2 critters in Fallout…what a delicious prospect.

Or better yet, check out this thread:

Why not? This one is good for a golden globes porn actress in New Reno... Seriously) Anyway you won't notice much difference from classic Fallout point of view and scale he he)

No, it doesn't... this one does!

A potential new ghoul…he definitely suits the setting. As for Jane Fonda, she was certainly hot stuff in those days, it’s a pity Barbarella wasn’t a full on sci-fi porn movie. But there are hundreds of film characters we could refer to, I personally like the original Fallout critters the best, but I’m open to new ones as well. POS looks like a foolish endeavor by a confused games publisher, and incidentally it almost destroyed them financially and more importantly – their credibility. Remember that piece of shit more or less killed Black Isle and Fallout 3 (Van Buren).

Who cares? BOS (or POS) have models with small count of polygons and small textures. So technically this stuff is best to port, and they fit very well as scenery characters. I disagree about modern pop-culture references, because it's just too boring. The whole Fallout setting is about half century old stuff and this makes Fallout so funny. This is stuff to have in mind.

What you’re saying makes perfect sense; once you down size the scale of the model it can potentially fit the setting. But can they reproduce the cool death sequences…if they can accomplish that I would be one happy dude. There is a cartoonish feel about Fallout that polygons can’t quite reproduce. But I think it is important to acknowledge that the more that external artwork gets added to Fallout, the more the original essence of Fallout gets diluted…
*About the Ghoul – he’s not meant to be a modern pop-culture reference – it’s just a joke… :falloutonline:

I believe something can be done, like laser cut-to-half death, authentic dismemberment, pulse desintegration and flamedance. At least animations can be done for sure, dunno about effects.
Actually to make things a lot easier, universal death anims like desintegration and flamedance can remain original if we minimize difference between sprites and 3d models.

Well i see, but there is too much talking about this guy lately :puke:

I bought a copy of POS a year back to see if I could rip anything useful for FO, and the wiki. I could not get into the files. I am not a haxor though. I just tried to find software to open the data files and failed.

Oh wait...

Next will be the smooth movement from 2D to 2.5D and to 3D. And I guess not without your help :P
