Van Buren Resources Exported!

Its too big... these bikes were a bit weak mostly used by messengers but thisone looks like it could drag caravan with no problem. But other than that it looks cool.

I do not know what motorcycle the Boudicca is based on, but it's probably not German. BMW R71s and /2s are right-hand shaft drive and have standard pegs, not floorboards. They're also opposed boxer twins. The Boudicca has a left-hand belt transmission and floor boards and presumably a traditional horizontal v-twin engine. Given the construction of the frame, floor boards, fenders, and belt drive, I'd guess it was based on a mid-40s Harley.

*gets back on the n00b train*

This motorcycle looks like Polish 'Sokol' 1000.

AND, these renders sure are looking nice :D

Sorry for my poor language...

Heh, I just realized... even if we could get our hands on the stuff in the mainmenu, it wouldn't help us much.

Hey what is it that Lexx?
It's from you?
If yes, please to see you improve your skill in 3D
If not...heu, please to see you as usual :)
Schuusss

Bro'

Isn't it possible to add the missing frames/textures etc. to the objects? Maybe it's a crap load of work, but heh... :D

What a ugly cheating! :ugly:

BTW. How did you get there? I don't remember anything like that while playing techdemo :o but it was quite short playthrough, so I could miss something...

Ohh, and this is how Fallout should look in 3d... Not this fucking FP(S) piece of shit.

Start a new game, open the options and assign a new key for the console. Then open the console with the newly assigned key and type in "newgame mapname".

As example, "newgame mainmenu.map".

Here is a list of all maps in the techdemo:

[spoiler:5a86c5a1f9]04_0202_Spelunking.map --- Caves
04_0201_Furnace_Storage_Mining.map --- n\p
02_05_Chiefs_Fallout_Shelter.map --- n\p
98_Canyon_Random_01.map --- Canyon, fully working.
98_Canyon_Random_02.map --- Canyon
98_CanyonWater01.map --- n\p
Mainmenu.map --- works
zz_TestMapsaarontemp.map --- n\p
zz_TestMapsaarontemp2.map --- works, nothing
zz_TestMapsKihantest.map --- n\p

zz_TestMapsTest_Junktown_fences_metas.map --- n\p
zz_TestMapsTest_Junktown_Shacks.map --- hovel
zz_TestMapsTest_Mesa_2.map --- n\p
zz_TestMapsTest_Mesa_Fade10.map --- n\p
zz_TestMapsTest_Mesa_Tiles.map --- n\p
zz_TestMapsTest_Tutorial_5x5.map --- n\p
zz_TestMapsWeapon_Ammo_Item_Test1.map --- n\p [/spoiler:5a86c5a1f9]
But not all of them work. In fact, most of them don't work.

If they're cut in half - just use symmetry to mirror missing parts.

Anyway, that water tower thingy is looking nice...

The Van Buren stuff is pretty cool in general. Yesterday I checked out the techdemo a bit more / deeper and the other maps again and yeah, it is pretty cool. In fact, this shit proves the old "you guys just don't want 3D in Fallout!!!" argument as horribly wrong, because Van Buren shows exactly how this has to work. Tile based 3D enviroment with models who look like 1:1 out of the 2D games. With some interface changes, it really would feel like the old games.

And the best: If really some day the graphic would have been outdated, it would still be possible to add high-poly models and better textures, etc. etc. to polish it up a bit more.

I also uploaded some new screens of some other maps to the gallery, but they are not yet activated.

FPP shitty shits maniacs must defend evolution? from top-down view to what Toddler did. Even the most stupid and retarded "argument" is good for them. Just like that pathetic talk about four pixels chair

Ok, my screenshots are still not activated, so I link them from somewhere else.

This is the cave and canyon stuff and also mountain and house tiles in the game. It already looks pretty cool to run around there. With better textures, lightning and all that other next-gen crap, it wouldn't even look that old.

And... real water:

It's not good to see on that screen, but if you move through the water, it moves in circles around the character.

Similar graphics to Troika's PA techdemo and I'd be really happy, I don't need better 3d engine... Why to hell ALL promising post-apoc RPGs are going under? Only some FPS shitty shits are floating around. What a bad luck, I'd say...

85-90% of scenery stuff is posted in this thread. As for the walls/tiles/etc. - I'm not going to make them useable for Fallout/Fallout 2 modding thingy. Maybe someone else will do it.
