Sure, gameplay-wise it will probably have some similarities to TW
That's my issue. That that's where they might go, that they've gotten too comfortable with W3 success to try out anything even a bit different. No matter what kind of story and lore or story they might cook up, boring action gameplay with weak character system (as with Witcher) kills it where it stands.
Honestly, I hope they don't go "blank slate" protagonist but define a male protagonist and a female protagonist with a backstory and history.

There's the lifepath system in the Cyberpunk pnp for character backgrounds (on top of initial stat/skill rolls that already hint towards where he's coming from). That's something from where they can draw reactivity and narrative opportunities for character expression and motivation/aspiration through player agency. There's absolutely no need or call for a predefined Mr./Mrs. Smith in Cyberpunk.
