What games are you looking forward to most?

Sure, gameplay-wise it will probably have some similarities to TW

That's my issue. That that's where they might go, that they've gotten too comfortable with W3 success to try out anything even a bit different. No matter what kind of story and lore or story they might cook up, boring action gameplay with weak character system (as with Witcher) kills it where it stands.

Honestly, I hope they don't go "blank slate" protagonist but define a male protagonist and a female protagonist with a backstory and history.

God, I hope not.

There's the lifepath system in the Cyberpunk pnp for character backgrounds (on top of initial stat/skill rolls that already hint towards where he's coming from). That's something from where they can draw reactivity and narrative opportunities for character expression and motivation/aspiration through player agency. There's absolutely no need or call for a predefined Mr./Mrs. Smith in Cyberpunk.

I remember playing Rollercoaster Tycoon but never played Bully. Is it worth getting now?

I liked bully its a very good rockstar gameI think probably even better than GTA i don't think i'm the only one who will say that. I mean it is kinda similar to gta as you have an open world to explore but other than that is very disimilar. Its also similar in way it sets of its mission and cut sences but yeah it still a very intresting/good game. I love it I think its an ablosute classic would be top 25 games i've ever played.

It very iconic you won't really ever play a game like to be honest. I would say defo get it should't coast to much either. I had it for ps3 even though ps2 game. And played pretty well hopefully it runs on ipad well too.

But honestly I really like that game I would recommend

Dragon Quest XI for the 3DS. Right now they only thing I am looking for outside of that are price drops on pc games.

It's based on CryEngine 3, so I guess somewhat high, but not ridiculous.

That remind me, I bought Crysis on GOG on a whim. I actually have a physical copy of the game but I think CD got broken or something. Last time I tried to install it, it wouldn't work.

Anyway, I really loved that game. Closest thing to Predator in terms of experience.

I didn't like Xcom 2's DLC/preorder shit, and the whole "oh by the way, that game you bought, Xcom 1? Oh yeah, well, that's ALL retconned now, kk thanks gibe me more shekels plz".

Yeah, Crysis 3 ran on the PS3 (kinda...), as long as the settings aren't crazy, you can expect to play it on a modern low tier gaming computer.

Well, the pre-order DLC was bullshit as always (I guess Firaxis still has not learnt from X-COM Enemy Unknown's pre-order bullshit fallacy) but the game was alright. Could be better but it was decent for what I paid for.

As for the retcon, I guess they needed something to change it up (though they should have done more with it). Plus, I've read that X-COM 2 can be interpreted to be an alternative canon rather than the pre-set main canon (though I can understand arguments against that).

There are worse games out there.

Tbh, I can't think of any game I may be looking forward to. Save for that Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Divinity: OS 2, Cyberpunk 2077 and maybe.

Also, should this whole thread be merged with the original?:

I feel as though that once you remove the fancy graphics, the game, at least the playable parts of it, are staler than the damned old Fallout games.

HP and armour are the most generic ways of implimenting them, and it makes progression seem...Weird.

Somehow a super advanced supersuit and a giant fuckoff beam rifle will die to some recruits with AR's and some grenades.

And don't get me started on the rolls.

I've seen countless super high percentage shots miss.

Due to the time limit in a load of missions, its more down to luck than anything, especially with the 1 hit kill repeaters sometimes proccing on the bosses, 1 hitting them.

>Implying the old Fallout games are stale.

Ban pls.

Mechanically speaking, they are grossly more advanced than just about any modern turnbased game to my knowledge.

But they have aged.

Aged well, mind you, but they've aged.

The mods mostly reinvigorate them to modern standards though.

With most triple-A games being sub-par or average, I've learnt to not bother getting anything that may exceed expectations since nothing ever will (save for the rare game or two).

So I take the acceptable ones when I can, even if the game could be way better (and even then, I don't get as many games these days - the only modern game I've gotten this year is Persona 5 - one of those rare games).
