What is the proper solution to Tenpenny Tower

I wonder what what fanfiction he came up with to defend the BoS in 76. Dude can't separate headcanon and canon.

Here's a proper solution, do nothing. I personally hate this side quest out of all the side quest available in Fallout 3, mainly because no matter what decision you make, it always end up with death.

SPOILER!

Help humans-> Kill Ghouls and lose karma despite Roy Philips being an ass, and get a shit talk from Three dog.

Help Ghouls-> Slowly kills every human in the Tower.

Why not just scrap this quest? The whole premise is retarded to begin with.

I help the ghouls, so Three Dog doesn’t act like a pretentious fuckhole. That, and you get a helpful ghoul mask that makes ferals non hostile in a game where 3/4 of the “gameplay” is crawling through ghoul-infested subway tunnels

That was when Tagaziel "returned". He put an auto re-director so it would convert all links from the Wikia to the Vault. :lmao:

The other admins fixed it shortly after being noticed.
Right, I remember that. That was a dick move on his part.

Has tagaziel tried to defend Fallout 76 yet?
Hass linked me to a Reddit post by Tagaziel recently: https://www.reddit.com/r/fo76/comme...e_because_i_enjoy_it_and_i/eas5kzv/?context=3

The sycophancy is strong in him.

EDIT: But at least, he isn't sucking up to Bethesda's bullshit responses to all their issues. So that's something.

Does three dog even mention the ghouls murdering the humans anyway, after the humans let them in? Or was Bethesda too lazy to write that.

Oh look, he likes 76

Guess you now can have a partner to play online @CT Phipps

Remember, game is overload with NPCs, but each one of them is a real person.

No.
Three Dog keeps praising the Lone Wanderer for making the ghouls move peacefully.

Honestly, no one has explained to me what's wrong with it.

All they've said is, "We don't like the results of a good karma action having bad consequences"

and "I don't believe Roy could pull it off."

If that's all you've understood so far, then your reading skills could use some work. That or your fond of strawmen. Either way it's been explained thoroughly more than once on this thread, so restating it would only belabor the point.

I don't think the entirety of the quest is a bad premise but rather the execution and repercussions it does and doesn't have is what makes it falter.
It shows that the seemingly best actions may not always be what you think they are whether you agree with the result or not. Tying every result to good and bad is a bad thing to start with and then you throw in quests like this and the Harold and Oasis one. You try to label which was the morally correct way to do something even if it's multifaceted and that's bullshit.

If you think the ghouls had every right to slay the humans, then so be it. Argue your own point.
If you think that ghouls are not equal and don't deserve it, then so be it. Argue your own point.
If you think that the ghouls were right to want to be there but their later actions are unjust, then so be it. Argue your own point.

The fact that you're slapped on the wrist or patted on the back for these decisions is what makes it worse. I'm not saying this is one of the best quests ever but it asks more of what do you believe in than most other quests in this game. Then it turns around to tell you whether that was right or wrong. Same with Harold's dilemma. You could argue his autonomy of one's self is more important than a community asking for his torture and pain for the greater good. You could argue that the greater good is a good thing even if it comes at the cost of one being's suffering. Those are both options in the quest. Then there's the piss off both of them by killing Harold in a manner he disapproves of and the followers don't want him to die anyway. That's more arguably evil while the other two are more of a personal moral choice and how you see the situation. The wrench is thrown in when the game tells you what karma you're aligned with and you didn't even choose the obviously evil path. It shouldn't reward good or bad karma in those two resolutions.

I think the way the quest is supposed to go is:

1. Good Karma PC meets Roy
2. Good Karma PC decides to find a third option by getting him space.
3. Roy betrays everyone.
4. Good Karma PC kills Roy.

Recently I've wondered why I can't apply the liniment or sap in addition to euthanizing Harold. The tree is still alive apparently. Everyone seems to indicate that it won't grow or wither, just stay as is. Which is to say, no change from before killing Harold. I guess his heart is needed bc something something reasons.

My solution to the quest was to act like I was helping the Ghouls move in, in order to root out the bigots. When the bigots got upset and stormed out of the tower, I shot them in the back.

Then, instead of giving Roy the news that he could move in, I wiped him and his buddies out.
